The VDAC has begun to post the #s for 2005. You can go here:

http://www.virginia.gov/vdacs_ar/cgi...acs_search.cgi

Select 2005 for the year and then select which view you would like. The numbers are only beginning to be reported..it will probably be a while before final numbers are in.

*Also, I have created a spreadsheet to track the VA numbers. If anyone is interested in a copy, send a PM to me with your email address.*

wow, thats amazing. So many animals. It makes me happy that i spayed/neutered my cats. I'd be very instered in that spread sheet. Im just so glad that I got one of my cats from those shelters, as I'm from Northern VA.

Katie,

I find that VA supplying this type of information to be a very positive improvement. Certainly in awareness of overpopulation.

Are you aware of the inicitive or organization that got this type of reporting started?

I would first check with the Virginia Dept. of Agriculture.
