Katie lives about 45 min away at college. Kyle just moved out in January, he lives only about 15 minutes away.

I'd say a few times a month or so (not often enough according to my husband). We probably see Kyle more often.

What else should we know about them?

Katie is a big goofball, she's got a great personality, tons of friends, and a very busy social calendar. Kyle is very driven to make money and be successful. They both had great significant others and both broke up with them right after Christmas. We really liked them (the bf & gf), and are trying to get used missing them.

And what the heck is a turf farm?!?!

It is a farm where lawn grass is grown. We harvest and deliver it and people install it and have instant lawns.

Yikes. now there is a choice. I've never had poison ivy, but I've heard how bad it is, but I think it's better than being squished... so I'll take the bottom bunk.

Shower/bath. I've always been an early riser, so getting out of bed is rarely hard for me.

Yes, the scariest time was when my kids were little. Kyle was an infant laying on the floor on a blanket. We had just moved into a new house and I had gone out into the garage to do laundry, the door shut and was locked. I was so afraid that Katie might accidentally hurt him or try to pick him up. I ran crying to the neighbors (hadnâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t even met them yet). Luckily my husband was only about 10 minutes away, so he ran home and let me in.

I was in Houston Texas visiting my father who was ill. I was on the way to the airport to pick up my brother. It started POURING DOWN RAIN so hard I couldnâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t see anything at all. It was also thundering so loudly – that was really scary and lightening was striking very close. I was by myself and really scared. I actually pulled over until it stopped – then trying to get back on the freeway was another scary moment. But – I made it!

-What is Gracie like? I mean, like, her personality?

Sheâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s a sweetheart. Sheâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s got a bit of a goofy personality, but sheâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s a real sweetie. She really only likes to play with balls, the soft kind that she can carry around and sheâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s nuts about getting under blankets. She wants to be liked and doesnâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t like the fact that Wowzer doesnâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t like her. She misses sleeping with Boogs – so now she has adopted Ed as her sleeping buddy.

They are both weird in the way they drink water. Gracie laps it up from the far side of the dish and Wowzer laps it up from the right side of her paw while itâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s in the water.

Wowzer. I'm almost 2! My favorite toy is all of the mice. I like to run up the stairs with them, then let them tumble down so I can chase them. If I'm lucky, someone will toss them up for me.

Gracie. I'm about 6 months old. My favorite toys are the soft balls I can carry in my mouth. Our dog Ed is also one of my favorite toys. When he plays fetch, I chase him.

Well, we kinda planned Katie, although I thought it would take a lot longer for me to get pregnant once we started trying. Didn't plan Kyle at all, he was a big surprise. Katie was only about 9 months old when I found out I was pregnant with Kyle.

Who picked their names?

I did.

What year did you graduate high school?

1983

How many times have you moved in your life?

Wow, a bunch. When I was a kid, I think we moved about 8 times. Since I've been married, we have moved 5 times.

How old are your parents now?

My mom will be 70 this year.
My dad passed away in 2003 - he was 77

Do you know how to play cribbage?

No. My daughter taught me once, but I have no idea now.

Do you use coupons?

Yes, but not nearly as much as I used to.

What DO you do at work?

I answer phones, take orders, help customers that come in, prepare banking, do invoicing. Basic office stuff.

He works for a school district.

oh I know. Usually we are among the highest prices, but they said last week we had the lowest in the nation!! The lowest in Portland was $1.84

A big turning point in my life was actually when I was going through some tough times in my marriage. Getting through that was a total turning point. I don't think things would be so great now if we hadn't have went through that really rough patch.

-Describe a time of your greatest sadness.

When my dad passed away. I have had a pretty strained relationship with my mom for the past 20 years (they were divorced) and I was extremely close to my dad. He didn't live near me, and I didn't realize the seriousness of his illness until I talked to my uncle one night and he said I better get down there to see my dad. He passed away I believe 3 weeks later. Thank goodness for my uncle. I flew down right away and stayed for two weeks.

LOL Who had the most what?

-Tell about some of the wonderful things your family does together other than holiday things, if anything.

Lately we've been playing a lot of games together when the kids are home (board games). A couple of our favorites are Apples to Apples and Loser

-How do you see yourself?

I see myself as not as confident as I would like to be. I think I am pretty responsible and have a very full life.

-What really wakes you up, keeps you alert, and makes you take notice in the world?

Cold air

-What do you excel at?

At work I excel at computer stuff. I'm the one in the office always running around showing people how to do things with various programs.

At home I feel I excel at keeping the family on pace and together. I think I am a great mom and wife.

-What do you dream about? (literally- dreams)

Well, this is a funny question. We took a survey at work and one of the questions was "do you remember your dreams" I never did until that day and we were all talking about it. Now I remember a lot of them. It's usually really dumb stuff. The other night I had a dream that I was riding a horse and talking to my dad about the problems I was having controlling the horse. We finally determined that it was because the bridle was loose and the bit kept falling out of my horses mouth.

-What kinds of things do you always remember?

I remember everything. It drives my husband nuts. He says I'm a walking phone book. I'm not great with dates though, or names from high school.

-What kinds of things do you always forget?

-What do others really not understand about you or not know about you that you are willing to reveal?

I think what most people don't understand about me is that in the beginning I'm shy. A lot of people think it's that I"m being rude, but it's not.

-What are 10 things that make you really angry?

Abuse (to people or animals)

that's all I can come up with. My mind is tired and my tummy is hungry - I can't concentrate.

-Who taught you how to (or made you) dance? Where? When?

I'm not a great dancer at all. I do a little waltz, and basic slow dance - but that's it.

-What are some serious illnesses or accidents you've had, if any?

I haven't had many. When I was 13 I had a serious flu. I was out of school for a month. Then about 10 years ago I had another bad flu. I was so weak my husband was really worried about me. I couldn't get off of the couch for a couple of weeks. When I was 10, I fell in our barn and a crooked, rusty nail went through my arm at my elbow.

-Favorite song of all time, and why?

That's a very tough one. I really like When I Fall in Love, but I'm sure that's not my all time favorite. But it's what I can think of right now.

-What is your general attitude about life & living?

I am a very optimistic person, so I have a great attitude about both.
