What?! lol! She can get out anytime she wants. The cat was having a blast.
Cats are highly intelligent, give her a little more credit!

Out of curiousity, is she one of yours? It looks more to me like she's focused on running up the wheel as high as she can get!

Nope, not one of mine. The cat in the video clips belongs to the makers of the wheel. To me, it's clear she having fun.
I've been wanting to get one of these wheels for awhile now. I know most of our cats would love the thing. The tough part is forking over the cool grand for it.
I'm gonna get one soon though.

I just though she might be confused.

I work at a metal finishing facility and we powdercoat similar fitness wheels for cats. It cracked me up when our coater showed me a picture of it in use.

Marin, maybe she looked confused because when she really started running she put her ears back?
My cats will do that if surprised or scared, but they also do it when the get the midnight kitty crazies and go tearing around the house as fast as they can! Because she put her ears back and then really started sprinting, I would guess she was having a great time being able to run so fast for so long - something most domestic cats don't get to do, due to space confinements.
You were probably just reading her body language in a different way.

But that does look like great fun! It reminds me of some of our little hamsters that can run so fast they either fling themselves off their wheel, or they try to stop and just round and round! But they seem to love it as they always get right back on!
