We think we may have one of the smallest cats in the world here!

Molly or MJ as we call her, or Moo as we normally call her is tiny, shes almost 1 and the vet says she won't grow any more, she is so small, and shes long haired so shes actually even smaller than she appears, I haven't had her weighed but according to the Guinness World of Records the smallest cat in the world is called Mr Peebles and he weighs 3.9lb. We saw a picture of him and Moo is way smaller....

Anyone else have a story like this or have any ideas what we should do with our little miracle?

I'm just looking for the mini moo herself and her brother so I can post a pic for you all to see!!!

OMG...How wicked is that!
You've soooo got to hurry and post pics of that little darling! If she's smaller than this Mr Peebles then you should contact the Guiness World of Records people about your little Molly.

I'm just trying to find Parker so you can see her stood next to her brother for a size definition! Although Parkers a big lad as well but more normal cat size than Moo...

I'll get right on it!!!!!

Yes Go for it!

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one with a midget cat. Luna is 10 lbs and 1.5 yrs old. She isn't growing anymore, but its fun to tease her by saying "When are going to grow?"

did you really mean 10 pounds? because that doesn't sound small to me. Pixel weighs 11, Java's about 9.5, & Cable's 8 pounds - none of them are particularly small.

Compared to my BF's cats (15-20 lbs) she is SMALL.
She still looks like she did 3 months after I got her.
The last time I was at the vet she weighed in at 10.

To me, ten pounds is a normal weight for a female cat. Sheba is 9.5 pounds and is about three years old. She was up to 11.2 pounds a year ago, but was too fat at that weight, so I started restricting her food more. She is a good weight now for her bone structure.

Red Cat is 15 pounds and OBESE. It is common for male cats to weigh a little more than females, but RC was a good weight about 11 pounds.

15-20 pounds might not be overweight for a male cat with a large bone structure, but I believe it is overweight or obese for the average cat.

Well I'm still working on getting Moo and Parker in the same room - she isn't that fond of her brother unless she feels like it so we're still trying!

A couple of weeks ago she actualy fell into the bath (don't panic it was cold) but she turned into the teeniest little thing!

You should get a picture of her next to... a hairbrush or something! Then we'll see just how small she is.

Emma is bitty, bitty tiny. I call her my perma-kitten. She's about 6 or 7 lbs and has the tiniest little paws, face, etc.! She makes Oliver, who's about 13/14 lbs, look like a hulking mass!

Pictures of Moo, please!!!

Both Patches and Beauty are big-boned cats, so I've been trying to get all 3 together, but I know THAT will never happen. Plus our other friends have cats that are large in size compared to Luna.

Oh yes, I can't wait to see this tiny kitty Moo!

Ophelia is 6 years old and weighs 7 pounds. She's a petite little thing, especially next to Trent to is 16 pounds and not fat at all. She likes the arrangement though...she loves to snuggle into Trent.

On our Vet papers... (the bills) it lists the weight in kilos, 3.9 X 2.2 is 8.58.. or just over 8 and a half pounds. This confused us before we understood they were using metric.

here is a picture of Mr Peebles, the world's smallest cat, with a slide show, and video. The kitty has a genetic defect. In one pic you see him next to an adult and you can see how really tiny he is.....if Moo is smaller..then he is realllllllllllllllllllllllllllll tiny

Wasn't this on another forum??? Sheba at her largest was 7.2# She averaged between 6.5 and 7#'s. The vets had me watch her weight as she was always so skinny. She however was energetic and ate enough food. She had silver tabby colors and her only litter she had a kitten with siamese colors!! Lots of people would say what a pretty kitten-they couldn't believe she was much older. She went to RB at age 9.
