He has been scheduled to see the veterinary opthamologist my vet's pratice uses, we see her on Tuesday. This apt. makes me nervous
She's excellent but blunt...I know she'll want him in an ecollar and he just got so depressed the last time he needed one...I don't think I can do that to him again. He's leaving the eye alone and trust me, I watch him like a hawk..no rubbing or pawing.

In the meantime, he was quite perky this am
and I dare say, except for the eye, he hasn't felt this good in months (must be the extra, EXTRA attention..he always gets a lot
)

If he's not bothering the eye, I can see why you wouldn't want to subject him to something that would almost certainly upset him. Here's hoping she will take his previous reaction to the ecollar seriously and be more concerned with the whole cat.

Thanks guys. I am sorry for the delay sometimes in answering, but I am getting notifications of replies on an inconsistent basis
and don't always know that there has been a reply until I am on the forum.

He is doing well enough I am backing off his pain med to q12, down from q8. He is perky, and comfortable, and the eye seems to be staying stable (keeping fingers crossed).

I'm sorry, I didn't get a notification of a new message, and just happened to pop in to check new messages, and found this.

He passed a small blood clot a few minutes ago from the eye, but other than that, the eye has been stable - he goes for an exam of it tomorrow. Keep those prayers coming.
