Is it OK to feed all wet food? I had been feeding Tria Nutro Natural pouches and dry food and she was happy on them, but I went to a different store the other day and Merrick canned food and on a whim I bought several and she loves them but one can fills her up she eats half the can in the morning and the other half in the evening and doesn't bother me for more food till the next morning so for now one day I am giving her the canned food the next day just dry, should I continue this or just give all wet, or go back to giving all nutro cause then she was eatting wet and dry in the same day.

Yes, wet food of really high quality is good food.

You may have the dry food as in between, if she wants a something little - dont gets stale so quick, and have the wet food as main course.

I agree with the others. I'd love to feed Abby an all canned diet, but it would be way to expensive. I'd also like to feed her all raw, but that would also be really expensive. It's already enough feeding the two dogs raw, nevermind the cat, too. So, I did the next best thing, feed half dehydrated raw and half canned!

Bijou and Mika get Merricks morning and night with Royal Canin for Siamese dry to snack on in between.

Bijou definitely prefers wet food and Mika dry so this keeps them both happy.

This is a little off-topic, but do you leave the dry food down for a certain amount of time, or is it out all the time?

For the dry food, I leave it out - it doesn't usually last long enough to go bad.
I don't load a big dish full of it. I put down about 1/4 to 1/3 cup in the morning and might add another 1/4 cup in the evening if they have eaten most of it.

I also leave the wet food until they finish it - which is actually about 1/2 hour to 45 minutes. Bijou is very good about letting us know if he's still hungry - he'll carry the can of food into the living room in his mouth.

Our house is rather cool so I don't really worry about the food going bad and I've not had a sick kitty yet.

Yeah, I do 3/4 of a cup total for 3 cats in post-breakfast and post-dinner feedings.

My cats each eat about 2/3 of a can of wet a day-ish. They're all maintaining a good weight, so I guess I won't fix what isn't broken!

BINGO...

I leave out a cup in the morning at about 5-6 am it is gone by 11 am then another cup in the evening ... so the dry is only out for about 12 hours max...

on a side note Zoey is showing promise in the wet / raw dept...
