gone but never forgotten

I know this is a cat forum. I have two that were abandoned at my apartment complex. But when iI read that poem I started crying. I just lost a chow that I had all of my life. I got her when i was 7. I am now 24. She passed away on christmas day 2005. And there is not a day that goes by i do not think of her. When my dad brought het home she was a little fur ball. And my mom did not want to keep her but i talked her into keeping her and she thanks me for that alot because she fell in love with her. I have her collar hanging in my van and it will stay there. I just wanted to thank you for that poem. It helps alot.

I have many beloved dogs who are over that Rainbow Bridge, too, including Sheba, Logan, Bridget, and Sean. Hopefully they have made friends with your chow, and will show her around heaven. She is totally at peace and happy now.

hold tight to those memories because although they maybe out of our view now they are never ever forgotton

I'm sorry for your loss. You had her for so many years - almost all of your youth. I know it's especially hard to lose a fur-friend when it happens on/around special days/seasons. (I lost the cat who'd been my companion for almost 15 years two days after Christmas.)

May your many years of memories comfort you and know you'll meet again at the Rainbow Bridge. She's a young, vibrant dog, now.
