I feel sad and angry that such an incident occured. But I think I see something here. This was not done for kicks. This was a fine and expensive animal. This was an act of rage. I would bet if you scanned the area hospitals for a seriously dog bitten child you will find your killer. My dog ripped my Sons lip off at 5 years of age and I'll never forget the rage. The dog lived out it's natural life with us without incident. It took about a month for the urge to kill it with my hands to go away. Thank god for plastic surgeons. I never could figure out why the dog bit. It's still a mystery today. Still this would be no excuse for this horrific crime.
Shocking....

Oh my. That is just so sickening and sad for that poor sweet dog. It could be the most vicious killer of a dog around and that still wouldn't justify what happened to it. If you have a vicious dog, put it down humanely - and besides, we don't even know if that is that case at all.

Whoever did this knew exactly the kind of suffering that creature would endure and so tied it so tight and muzzled it to stop it from having any chance of escape. THAT is the kind of person who should be tied to a tree and set alight. I would watch them burn with a grim smile of satisfaction.

Oh this is soo disgusting that person is probably a future human murderer if not already. To set fire to a dog, muzzle it, and probably watch it die could only be done by a psychopath IMO.

i am sorry heidi, iwas so upset when i read this dogs story i didnt know where to put it.

the police described this dog as "a showmans dog"... i do not know for sure but as far as i am aware a 'showmans dog' is a dog that people associated with drugs and crime walk around with to make them look tough.
so it is possible that the dog was killed as punishment for a drug or similar related crime.

this crime if the *******
is caught will only serve six months.......which is pathetic,

I'd say that the person who burned that poor dog alive and tied to a tree is definatly an idiotic occult psycho. A person who hurts an animal in a cruel manner is an occult do'er

it is well known that one of the three characteristics in common in many serial killers, is animal torture....when this psychopath is tired of getting his kicks with animals he will turn to humans...they need tio catch him now, and put him away for as long as possible....this act was evil

Just reading the replies here was all I could stomach - Rest in Peace over RB, poor dog! As sickened as I feel about the torment that poor dog went through, I am also deeply touched at the compassion that you cat lovers have shown to a dog. I haven't been able to stay in dog-lovers' forums too long, because invariably, there starts up the cat-hating comments - I'll bet God wants us all to be cat-lovers!
