I have posted on this humorously in the Lounge but on a more serious note, I really would like to know if anyone with cat psychology knowledge would be able to tell me why a cat would poop on the bonnet (hood) of a car. When I arrived home last night, after two weeks away, in my Jeep (which the cats had never seen before), at least one of them pooped on the still warm car. I don't see how they would have known it was mine, though I parked it in the driveway where I used to leave my other car, and what could have attracted them to it. I have always counted myself lucky with my current cats because accidents are few and far between and always signal something wrong, but this must have been very deliberate. From a behavioural point of view, can anyone shed any light?

Hmmm...this isn't something I've encountered or heard of before, but you might try taking her in for a check-up. She might be trying to get your attention.

If nothing else, your vet might be able to tell ya what's behind it, behaviour-wise.

I spoke to the vet about it and he just laughed! But there must be a behavioural reason.

I think your best bet would be just to see if it happens again. If it does, then there might be an underlying problem or a behavioral problem you need to work with, but if you find that it's just this once.....well.....cats are very strange animals and maybe that was just your cats way of telling you they were a tad bit "ticked" that you left them....hehe
