Hemmingway's Cats! Cuteness Alert!

I'm home from my cruise! My head is still way off from all the motion of the ship and the plane so it's taken me till now to get on. One of our stops was in Key West so I had to go to Ernest Hemmingway's home there to see his kitties! The tour guide said they have 39 cats I believe. It was either 29 or 39, but I'm pretty sure it was 39. I forget how many pounds of Eukanuba he said they go through a week but it was a lot! They seem very well taken care of. From what I understand they keep just a few toms around and when they let the females have litters they are allowed no more than one litter. I'm not sure if they let all the females have litters or just specific ones. They even have thier own kitty cemetary on the grounds! The tour guide had a bag of treats in his pocket and you could tell the cats knew it! They were just sooo cute!

Hemingway cats are known for being polydactyl-did you notice many? I didn't see any in your pictures.

Some were and some weren't. I did see a few but I'm not sure who I got pics of.

That looks like a cat paradise! I like the shot of the cat on the bed. It's like, "excuse me?! I'm having a cat-nap here!" I'm glad to hear they manage the population.

He was really cute. I couldn't get him to face me! The tour guide told us to check under the bed for one and apparently we disrupted him because he went running off and snubbed us the rest of the time we were there!
