Why are you here?

One of the forum members on another site put this link in, so yesterday i clicked on it and am very glad that i did

I have had cats for many years but there is always something to learn from 'cat people' all over the world. This forum is so active i am having trouble keeping up with all the posts

Fantastic site

I was in the middle of a crisis when FeLV hit both my feral colony and inside my house (lost about 11 cats that year). I came for information and got not only that but emotional support. I stay because it is the only site that I've found whose members truly want to help each other. No slamming, no insults, and good educational materials.

I know a lot about cats, but always find new information here.

I joined because I needed support for the care my kitties.

I joined to learn about cats & how to better care for my two(now three). You guys/gals have some great tips on how to pamper, them, too.

I love the fact that no one here judges on height, weight, haircolor, race.... It is like all of those things don't matter. I am who I am & you are who you are....we are all special. No one here knows about my past unless I choose to tell them. It feels like one big family.

This really is an awesome place!

I was an avid visitor to RateMyKitten.com to see pics and make comments/captions. But a troll ruined it and I came looking for other cat places. Forgot exactly how I found TCS but I joined so I could post on Caption This (oh, how I miss that forum! ) and found more! Besides, where else could you get great threads on such topics as underwear.

I had just lost Sunni. While doing a search for sites on dealing with the grief of losing a cat, the TCS link came up on a search engine. Not only was everyone supportive and loving, assuring me that my grief was absolutely normal, but there was so much information and it was such a fantastic community, I stayed!

To get new viewpoints to cat care
To get to know new people
To brush up my English
To find another outlet for my net addiction.

Mark is a member of a couple of other forums and when we got Sleeves he spent a while looking around the net for info on worms (sleeves had them) and must have stumbled across TCS. He registered us (as Pombina) but we never came back, we never needed to. Then my Mum got a puppy and I was taking Sleeves to see him so I wanted some advice and remembered about this place. I got fantastic advice and I was just hooked!! I couldn't get enough of this place! Still can't!
I feel like I've really made friends here and like Natalie says nobody judges you on your outside appearance because nobody see's you. I love that its all purely on personality.
I think you are all fab and I feel honoured to be a part of such a wonderful community.

I joined at a time when I was beside myself with grief and fear. I had lost one cat to cancer and was in the process of losing my 2nd cat one month later. Everyone here was supportive, had great advice and finally incredibly sympathic when she died.

What really impressed was no one asked when I was getting another cat. That was everyone else's first question when my cats died, including the vet tech who assisted in putting them to sleep.

I felt like I found a place that I could talk about my cats and my grief and no one would judge or expect me to be over it. "After all they were just cats".

I stayed cause I felt like I found a true family of cat lovers.

This is honestly the nicest forum i have ever been on. I love it. So not only are people good to you, they help you. And with 4 kitties, you need some kind of support system

I just love cats. I actually stumbled in here by accident one afternoon, and sorta never really left!

That's something I can never get over, is just how nice people are around here. Predjudices don't exist here, where they do on so many other forums. Nobody judges, nobody derides. You're here because you share a common interest and that's the overriding factor. Not only that, but no matter how much you know about cats yourself, you can ALWAYS learn something new here from other members. The wealth of knowledge in this particular forum is an untapped goldmine for the outside world. One of these days we should all think about writing a book! You'd probably have the most comprehensive cat owner's manual on the planet!

I found TCS in an emergency the night I picked Persil off the streets and did a web search for advice on how to remove black oil from her coat. Everyone was so great with the calming vibes and the practical advice, that I asked many other questions too and found the answers, as well as sharing some of my experience. And then I realised that I was part of an amazing world-wide community of friends. This is my first forum, and since I joined I have tried others, but none come anywhere near TCS. It is the only one I have stuck with.

I came here looking for advice shortly after Tiny came to live with us, because I was having a hard time getting her to transition from the KMR and the prescription wet food that the vet suggested we start her out on with the KMR. I was welcomed warmly, given advice and pointed in the right direction towards other posts and publications regarding feline nutrition.

I stuck around because this is a great forum!

I joined because I had a problem with one of my cats peeing on the carpet and I needed advice....after I got that resolved, I liked the forum so much I kept comming back every day.

I'm here because someone needs to keep an eye on AbbysMom

I'm here because I love kitties and I love all of the people!

And because someone has to kill threads!

I came here because I love to hear stories about cats and I love to tell stories about my kitties. It is nice to know that cat lovers have a place to chat about thier favorit felines and the people on here are so nice and helpfull.
