Why are you here?

I was just reading another thread & it got me to thinking....
Why did you join TCS? Why do you like TCS?

I joined to learn about cats & how to better care for my two(now three). You guys/gals have some great tips on how to pamper, them, too.

I love the fact that no one here judges on height, weight, haircolor, race.... It is like all of those things don't matter. I am who I am & you are who you are....we are all special. No one here knows about my past unless I choose to tell them. It feels like one big family.

This really is an awesome place! How about you?

I am a crazy cat lady. I enjoy reading about everyones cats and seeing their cats pictures.I just enjoy sharing stories and being able to talk with others that have a deep love for cats. We understand that their not just a cat they are part of the family. Alot of people don't get that. Everyone was so welcoming to a new comer.I just snuck in one day and stayed.Its great place to be. Thank you all for being you!

I joined because in a world where dog is man's best friend, we cat lovers know the real truth!!!!!!!......

I joined when I was contemplating getting a second cat to get advice on integrating the new cat with the resident cat...that was about a year ago, and I stuck around because of the people, fun threads, and great cat care advice and expertise!

I came here looking for advice on dealing with a rambunctious kitten with a penchant for chewing electrical cords.
I stayed because everyone was so helpful and kind. What else could I have expected out of a bunch of cat lovers?
It's also the most civil online forum I've ever seen.

I joined right before or after (can't remember!) I got Marlee. She is my first baby to raise by myself, out on my own and I wanted to make sure I did it right! This is just a great place for me to come to when I'm stressed about school, and life in general, and make myself feel better!

I joined because I was getting my first cat (DH had cats and dogs as a child; I didn't) and I always like to be as informed as possible about everything!

I stick around because I've learned - and continue to learn - a lot about cats and how to be a better cat mama; the company is good here at TCS; and I love seeing peoples' pictures!

Im here because I fell through the roof.

I can't really remember what I was searching for on the net that brought me here... I think it was worms - my biggest enemy.

Anyway, there are a few things I love about TCS...

1. Everyone is so nice, friendly, and helpful, no matter what the situation.
2. This is a great place, whether you are in search of important information, looking for support or looking for something fun to do.
3. What I really like - is it's a pretty clean board... no cursing! love that!

Last April I was going to be taking in a pregnant momma, and wanted some info, so I searched 'cat forum' and this was the first to come up. I didnt end up getting the momma, but I have one now

I registered last year looking for support when I found out my new rescue had glaucoma and possible blindness.

What I found was the most wonderful forum community I've ever had the pleasure of being a part of.

I came because I was adopting my first cat that I would be caring for on my own. I like having a place where I can get multiple points of view very quickly.

I also think there is a lot for me to learn from the people on this site. I'm in training to be a vet tech, but there is more to it than just the procedures I am learning in school, I'm sure!

I came here to find others who love cats just as much as I do!

I love TCS for so many reasons

- everyone is so kind and supportive
- My fussy love of my boy Reilly is normal here
- I love reading all of the crazy kitty stories and looking at all of the fur pics (and fur videos)
- I can learn about a healthier way to raise my boy

I discovered this site when i was looking for how to get a kitten and a bunny to get along.. and i somehow landed here..

How many of us aer really crazy cat ladies? Crazy cat gentlemen? I know I am! Pretty proud of it, too!

I was really just coming into my own life as a crazy cat lady. Or at least recognizing it and admitting it. I was also at a new job with a LOT of down time and nothing to fill it except the internet. I was just following links about cats and ended up here. I lurked for a while and then joined. Been here ever since. Learned more than I thought possible about cats and caring for them, and I'm definitely a better cat-mom for it.

Why am I still here? As much for the cats as I am for the people. There are so many cats who need help. And this site, and the ones spawned from it, can do so much to help them on a large or small scale. Helping many or one at a time. I learned that as a huge truth from Mary Anne.

Of course, the regular members make this place what it is. There is a kindness here in most everyone who chooses to stick around that I've not seen anywhere else. This is a one-in-a-million forum, with amazing friends.

I was getting bored with the boards I was posting on before. Somehow, I just didn't fit in. Either they were too cliqueish, or there was nobody my age or that shared any of my interests. So I started browsing BigBoards.com, a site that lists the top 1000 messege boards on the internet, and when I saw TCS, I thought I'd like to be on a board with other cat lovers, so I popped in for a look-see. I've been hooked ever since! It's been so much fun posting pics, sharing stories, making new friends from all over the world, and I feel like I fit in here. I think this is the best forum I've ever visited, let alone joined. Thanks everyone for making me feel at home!

I joined because both my kitties were ill, and I was searching about symptoms on the internet and landed here! --And BOY! Am I ever glad I did! These boards are CONSISTENTLY filled with the nicest posts and you rarely, if ever, see people being snippy with each other. THAT is a rare thing on boards as populated as this one is! I think you all are to be highly commended for that!! Also, I am constantly learning SO much, when I read other's posts here, and that helps me with my kitties!
Sometimes, since my husband is very ill, I don't get to be online as much. But, I know, when I return, that I can just jump right in and find acceptance and kindness every time!
