The cats house, we just pay the mortgage..
Mark and I have just been to our Saturday morning Tae Kwon Do class and got some devastating news. One of the kids, a 13 year old boy, who is just fantastic, such a character and everybody loves him, had an accident in his bedroom while playing with a string of lights. He managed to get caught up in them and strangled himself and although he's not dead his brain was starved of oxygen and he is now in intensive care with serious brain damage.
He's never going to be the same boy we all love again. He might not have a great quality of life at all now and it is going to be a long haul until he can even breath on his own.
His mother (who also trains with us) and father are very positive and believe that this is the hand they've been dealt so they have to do everything they can now to get on with it. Which is just an incredable attitude to have in my books.
I suppose the reason I came here and told you guys is that I want you to keep him in your thoughts. I can't do much at the moment because I can't stop crying but when I accept it I am going to join everyone else in raising funds etc for the family because from now on everything is going to be different.
Thanks all of you I know people all over the world praying for him will make a difference.

I'm so sorry to hear of this terrible accident. It's so tragic that something so innocent could turn into this heartache. I will continue to keep him and his family in my prayers.

Thanks very much.
I'm just going through it in my head and have just realised what a terrible waste it is. He was so talented. Also our class is NEVER going to be the same without him there.

How very awful! I will keep Jaye and his family in my thoughts and prayers. They have a long row to hoe now, but with that attitude, they'll do as well as can be expected.
to them and to you.

My heart goes out to Jaye and his family. What a tragedy! I will definitely pray for healing for Jaye. And for wisdom for his medical team, and peace for his family and class mates.

When the beloved TCS member Cathy (may she rest in peace) was ill, there was a page to offer support and love to her and her family. In fact, I made a similar page for a catloving friend of mine named Joyce, who had a below the knee amputation and is facing open heart surgery!

If you go to it, you can make a free guestbook of your own for Jaye, and people can post their support for him and his family. Of course part of the idea is spreading the word, which as you see didn't go so well for my friend. But with all of us at TCS helping, we could get a lot of posts for Jaye.
