We have a 7 year old Calico (Ally)that has had a few hairballs over the years. Last week we adopted a little tuxedo male 8 1/2 mo old kitty (Tommy). WE took him to the vet the day we got him and he checked out great. The next day he acted like he would throw up but nothing came up. Took him back to the vet and she could find nothing wrong. Just said to watch him. We kept both cats separate, got Feliway, did everything as suggested. Introducted them yesterday. A little hissing, but so far OK. Today new cat Tommy did the dry heave thing again. He ate, pooped, ran around, and seems quite happy.
Have any of you ever had this happen with one of your fur babies?

Hi Allysmom,

Tuxedos are terrific looking cats, congratulations on your new kitty. Itâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s great that your vet said that nothing is wrong.

Iâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]m sure I read somewhere that dry food can cause retching / dry heaving.

Larry.
