When I went to pick LIlly up the vet said that her pre surgery blood work showed her kidney values to be elavated. He ran another test that checked the kidneys and that came back nomal. He said its very unusual for a young cat to have a high kidney value like that. It indicates the kidneys aren't working up to snuff
. He did say it could be caused by her not drinking enough as she went into heat and also from not being able to eat or drink starting the night before surgery or even just from drawing blood.
He gave her fluids under the skin to rehydrate her. And said I should have the blood work done again in two months to make sure all is ok.Now I'm worried. She drinks fine at home just as much as the other cats. Keep good thoughts for Lilly's kidneys to be ok.
