Yippee! Woohoo! I just got a call from the vet with the results of Purdy's blood work yesterday. His liver enzymes are coming down nicely, and are now only slightly elevated. That's particularly good news, as Purdy also vomits several times a month (and occasionally several times a week) and has for years, so IBD is suspected, as well. And Purdy is estimated to be less than nine years old.

Anyway, here are Purdy's ALT results

September 123
November 98
February 76
reference range 5-65

I'm to continue with Denosyl, but can back off to about every other day instead of daily. I'm so glad that Purdy is such a laid-back cat that he is really easy to pill. Because I'm terrible in my ability to pill a cat. I never have been able to find the spot to pop their jaws open. So I have to pry it open with a rigid pill popper. But even on those occasions that he still manages to spit it out half a dozen times, Purdy just sits there and waits for me to pop it back in again. I don't even have to wrap him in a towel. What a good, good kitty!
