I just closed on my house today! Or rather a townhome/condo, but still, its mine! Its a beautiful little 2 bedroom, one and a half bed place with glass-fronted cabinets in the kitchen and upgraded light fixtures and such. She is transerring the washer/dryer, refrigerator, stove, microwave, pot rack, and rolling island to me as well! I'm so excited!

Thanks everyone!! I can't wait to move in, but that has to wait for a bit until my current lease runs out. The former owner is going to lease back from me uuntil this summer.

Ohhh, don't get me started on redecorating yet!! I don't even have any furniture, since I live in a furnished apartment! So first, I have to save some money to buy at least a bed, couch, and table. :p Thanks everyone!

Its so wonderful! Even better is the knowledge that for the first time in my five years in this town - I won't have to move every year again! I just found out that Behr paint has a coupon out for $20 off the 5-gallons and $5 off the 1-gallon cans of paint, so I'm already picking out the colors I want for my rooms!

That's a good deal! But...ummm...not sure how much painting you've done in the past (and others might disagree with me), but when I bought my house I had to do a lot of painting and I tried - Walmart Color Place, Kilz Colors, and Behr and hated them all! The Behr was very thin and ran easily. If you're very very careful you might be able to pull it off, but I had to repaint the entire place. I am now a die hard fan of Benjermin Moore Paint. That's what my mother told me to get from the beginning (of course I didn't listen). You can't mess it up, it goes on really nice and usually covers in only one coat and Benjermin Moore did something to disipate the that awful paint smell. With that said though it's about $30 a gallon.
If you do decide to go with the Behr, you'll have to let me know how it goes.
Good luck! (oh - and take pics for us - before and after so we can see how it's going!)
