I am having a hard time finding breeders in my area. Specifically looking for ragdolls, Siberians, and Maine Coons. Can anyone offer the best website for finding breeders? I keep finding the same few breeders and I know there must be more!

Tara, did you try the sites on the ragdoll webring I gave you? It had several breeders on it, and on most of those sites had a page of their favorite links, which had cat organizations, other breeders, other web rings, ect. Try the same thing with the other breeds. Have you tried looking for local advertising in papers and things like that, but, be careful not to end up dealing with a BYB in some of those places, also check on places like TICA, they generally have a page for cats shows and info, go to a show locally you will be able to talk to different breeders and see what they have for cats and kittens. I think this was already suggested, but you should give it a try. Since you are indecisive with several different breeds a cat show would be the best way to find a couple breeders of all of them, and see an example of what they have for cats and kittens, and there probley will be some that are from your area, mabey even your neighborhood.

HI Leslye! Yep, I did look at the links, thanks so much! I am expanding my search away from Ragdolls right now (even though I am still trying hard to convince hubby to get a Ragdoll!

I agree with Celestialrags, that looking in the ads in the newspaper, can sometimes be risky. As with any breeder, ask questions, and ask for referrals.

A lot of places charge for their site to be listed so its hard to find a comprehensive list. I agree the best places are breeders associations or places like TICA or CFA. I'm glad you asked because TICA has a brand new listing so I should try to add myself. You might be able to find a much larger list if you look at their old web site.
