Under the cats, mostly.
I love jumbo sausage
no silly jokes about that please- especially after I mention the battered and deep fried bit
but in the UK some of the little chippies make some seriously good food (that's slightly better for you than KFC deep frying, but not by much)! I miss those things.... battered deep fried jumbo sausage and great huge fat chips.... (fries for you Americans!!) Mmmmmm
I'm hungry.

One thing I never did try while living in Britain- deep fried things from the chippy, like Mars bars and bananas.

I love tempura from my favourite Japanese restaurant. Mmm, way to make vegies yummy for those who have an aversion. I love the butterflied shrimp.

Oooh, you should definitely try banana fritters with syrup, cream and ice cream!

I don't usually prefer deep fried things, but from time to time I do enjoy some things. I like things like jalepeno poppers, french fries, and chicken wings. But overall I prefer things NOT deep fried.

Where do I start! Bloomin onions, deep-fried camenbert cheese, battered cauliflower, zuccini, mushrooms and zuccini flowers, shoestring french fries (homemade of course), halibut, beaver tails, etc., etc.

I've heard deep frying a whole turkey is heavenly. I definitely have to get one of those turkey frying kits and try it someday.
It's on my "to do" list.

I usually avoid fried things, but I lurve jalapeno poppers, battered fish (like in fish and chips), hush puppies, fried mozarella and fried green tomatoes.

It's all good. Tempura, beer-battered onion rings, any other kind of onion rings
, fried squash (although that's flour and cornmeal after an egg dip, not battered), cheese sticks, fish ... mmm, so good. The only thing I don't like fried is okra. But then, I don't like any kind of okra.

But the most yummiest of them all is a Monte Cristo sandwich. Ham, turkey, and cheese on white bread, cut into quarters, batter-dipped and fried. Soooo good. Do not, I say, do NOT accept pale imitations. If you order a Monte Cristo sandwich and get a regular sandwich made with bread that has been batter-dipped, send it back. The real thing is the entire sandwich dipped in batter (after being cut into quarters).
