Magnetic Poetry, that is!

A friend sent me a set of the original Magnetic Poetry, and I love it! I'm having so much fun standing in front of the refrigerator, making all these different lines.
Anyone else have a set or know what I'm talking about?

According to my husband... the zoo
I know what you are talking about, but I don't have a set. I always thought that would be fun.

When my daughter was in high school and taking Spanish, I bought her a spanish set. Just the other day when she was home, she dug it out of a box to take it to school with her (she's in her 2nd year of college).

You can play with it online at that site, but it's not the same. I'll warn you, it is addictive!

Ahh, I have a not so nice version on my fridge!
People love coming over and making sentences. One night I came home tipsy and alphabetized them all, so it would be easier for them to find words! Ok, I officially have no life!

Under the cats, mostly.
I know precisely what you're talking about and I used to have a set. We never used it for poetry though.... we used to leave all sorts of random and naughty notes for one another

They actually have an erotic and an adult set now. My husband is bad enough with the set I just got, though. The other day I noticed a line on the fridge.....let's just say he'd used the words "chocolate" and "sausage" in the same sentence. He's grounded from the magnetic poetry now!

I had a larger set on my car some years back.
I always got a kick out of parking somewhere and returning to find people playing with the words.
Oddly, nobody ever stole them.

I have the cat lovers set. I am having my kitchen re-done, and managed to design it so that the side of the new fridge, which is black, is open to the room. I can write poems to the cats there.

I also have the magnetic David, and Venus.

When my best friend lived in FL, his roommate had it, and he'd secretly get aggrevated because everytime I visited I'd change it. Apparently he thought his "poems" were made to be set in stone or something. I didn't know it annoyed him, he should have spoken up.

This thread inspired me to stop and pick up a set this morning
I can't wait to go home and put little messages on the frige.

I will confess that I bought the naughty set

I'm a little obsessive compulsive that way as well. To cure the problem, I have a blank journal that I write each poem in before it gets moved around again. Problem solved!

Although, when I'm 80 years old, I'm sure I'll look at that journal and wonder what the hell I was talking about!

Too funny!!!!!

My 14 year old son got ahold of it today. My fridge now sports such gems as "frantically incubate my white hairy enormous butt".

Lovely. Just lovely.
