I don't know maybe it's already Valentines day in some parts, but if not, are you ready? Have you got everything you wanted?
I went shopping yesterday and got a few things for Mark
I couldnt find a card in the shops that said what I wanted to say so I got a fairly simple one and looked at love quotes and poems on the internet and got a really lovely one and wrote it in his card.
We are going out for a meal anyway as it's his brothers 21st birthday so that will be good, and Mark says he's going shopping today so he has remembered! I'm just really excited. We had a little tense patch recently and everything is back on track and brilliant so Im really looking forward to it.
Anyone getting stressed out that they still don't have anything?

We see each other about every 3 weeks, with me going up to Inverness then him coming to Newcastle. It's 5 hours on the train but it flies past because i take the Hello or OK magazine, plus i normally start chatting to others

We met through my friend who's known him for about 4 years, then unknown to me she gave him my yahoo id

I got the card ready. I'm going to make dinner tomorrow night-have to firm up the menu and make a dessert. Neil likes Snicker candy bars so I will hide some in his briefcase tomorrow. Might stop in his office tomorrow so he can take me to lunch!!

I have this problem at every holiday where there are gifts involved. I get so excited to buy a gift for my fiance that I buy it early and then end up giving it to him early.
This year I promised myself I wasn't going to do it. He has wanted his windows on the car tinted for quite some time so I decided I would have that done for Valentine's Day. I was going to set the appointment up for that day. Well, I set the appointment over a week ago and suprised him with it. Then this weekend I decided I had to get him something else since I suprised him too early with the tint. So when I was at the mall I bought him one of those HUGE cookies (I think they call it a cookie cake) and had it decorated. The girl assured me it would be fine until Tuesday, but what did I do? Walk in the door and presented it to him after not even being home 5 minutes!
I was smart and bought 2 cards so if I couldn't wait to give him one of them he would still have something to open tomorrow.
So that's all he is going to have tomorrow is a card!
I do this with his birthday and Christmas as well. My friend told me it's like celebrating Hannukah 3 times a year

Haha Tanya what are you like!! I have to admit last night when I had everything wrapped and in a little bag I just wanted to give him to him. I always do, esp if it's something I know he's gonna like but I always resist! Im sure he won't mind though, he knows you did give him stuff so don't worry. And no spending any more money!!

I know! I got mark some stuff for his car for Christmas, except I got it in like September and I was nearly bursting to tell him. I kept saying, Do you want to know? I'll just tell you and he was like aaaah!! No!!

Well, since payday is the DAY AFTER Valentines Day - I wasn't able to get John anything except a card - but we are going to Famous Daves on Wednesday night to celebrate as my treat.

I guess he has something big planned - he told one of my friends that is helping him out - but he won't tell her what else he has planned....I'm so excited to see what he's got under his sleeve!!

I'm playing it cool this time. We've only been seeing each other for a few weeks, and it's been fairly reserved, so I didn't want to get all mushy. (He's not exactly a romantic, either, so I'm not counting on anything, esp. since I told him he didn't have to get me anything) I bought him a CD I know he's been wanting, and I'll shop for a card this afternoon.

I kinda hope he surprises me, but I'm not holding my breath.

I'm almost ready. I've got my bf's card and two of his favourite kinds of chocolates bought. I just haven't decided if I'm going to make dinner or if we'll go out.

I love Valentine's Day
...well all holidays actually! I'm a total "Hallmark" sucker

I got my honey a card, but we don't do a lot. Mostly this is a day for retailers, florists and restauranteurs. Too much hype for us.

Oh boy I have the same problem (well, had, I've improved after 10 years) with my husband.

The worst case was when I bought him an awesome birthday present in the Fall (his birthday is early December) and gave it to him as soon as I got home!!

I have a card and a small present - his large present we agreed would be the new chip and mother board we just got for his computer in the past couple of weeks.

I know he bought me a present, and happened to discover over the weekend while doing bills, that "something is coming" tomorrow that I have to be home for. I didn't see the company name but 2+2 = flowers (which he knows I love). He has a habit of surprising me with lovely flowers since we were dating (the best...I was out grumbling and growling as I chipped ice out of my driveway when a florist pulled up with flowers for me - he wanted me to know he was thinking of me
)

We went out to dinner yesterday as it gets SO nuts here the day before and the day of Valentine's Day and we really aren't into crowds. Had a wonderful meal (I had the best ribeye ever)..and I will make something special for tomorrow night

Def. helps when a romantic marries a romantic
