I think I need to rename Lola. Lola just isn't working for her. I don't even know where to start. I have a Twitch, which is sort of an abstract name, & a TigerLily, which is a flower. I was looking for something different, but I can't think of anything. I need to have her "officially" named by Wednesday when she gets spayed(YAY!). I am too lazy to go find a picture of her on the computer, so I will just tell you what she looks like. She looks just like Twitch in my siggy. I can describe her personality a little. She is deaf, therefore she is shy right now. She purrs when you pet her, but right now she is hoding out a grudge against me because I gave her a bath. She didn't like it much. I wonder why?
At least this time I can name her whatever I want. I get to name her with no input as she is my cat.

Any ideas?

I dunno...I'm quite partial to the name Lola...

I like Iridian for a white cat...we have/had(?) a white cat by that name at the shelter and I always loved it and thought it was perfect for her...

I like the name Lola, too, but it just doesn't fit her. How do you pronouce Iridian? I keep trying to say it, but it never sounds right. BTW-your Lola looked like a Lola, mine just doesn't look very Lola like. And how many times can I say Lola in the same sentence?

Start out by saying "Iridescent" like, as in, sparkly. And instead of "escent" end it with "idian" like the end of "meridian"

What about Finola. It's Gaelic for "white haired", and it sort of sounds like Lola, but maybe it will fit her better.

Both of these are from an Elvish site. I know, sounds weird, but it just has so many pretty words on it! I noticed the other two were T names, so thats what I was looking for. Here are the two I really liked:

telella - means little elf (just thought it was cute, you could call her Telly)
tarien - princess (sorta like a above, you could call her Tari)

How about Lotus Blossom? To me it reflects her shy blooming nature.

We once had a Millie, a Willie, and a Tiger Lilly! You could go with Twitch and Snitch!

Or steal a name from the TCS board, like Milky. I think white cats are beautiful.

Iridian is kind of pretty, and sounds mysterious. Sounds like it matches the kitty. Just be careful not to call her Iri (Eerie) or Rid for short! LOL! Maybe Dee would be a good nickname for Iridian.

(Disclaimer: This advice comes from me...with a girl kitty named Festus, an orange boy named Garfield, and thank goodness dd named Jasmine!)

I have a few SPANISH names for your WHITE BEAUTY.....

Bonita... which means "pretty girl"
Blanca... which means "something feminine that is white"
Luna...(pronounced Loo-nah) which means "moon"
Nube...(pronounced newb-eh) which means "cloud"
Leche...(pronounced Le-che') which means "milk"

I took a vote here at home and David, my brother in law, Laynee, Alleaha, and myself all like "LUNA" and "LECHE" the best.
Hope these strike your interest.

I say go with something related to the cold... or possibly name her after a star! Got that idea off of Sharky

Or you can name her Spaz to go along with Twitch! Twitch n Spaz!

Lola is a very pretty name, but if it doesn't seem to fit her, then how about a pretty girl's name that begins with "T" - to keep the "T" theme going? I just did a search in google for baby names and there are so many to choose from.

One thought - Tasha
or - Tallulah, Tabitha

I think I ruled out the "funny" names(although Twitch & Spaz would be cute!). My dad suggested I name her something that rhymes with Twitch, but I can't say what he suggested on here.
I am leaning away from anything that can be turned into something obscene because my dad will call her by the obscene name(he's like a grown up kid).

I can't make any final decisions until Rigel gives his input. I was thinking Ms. Milky or Leche...but I would need Milky's approval first!
lol I liked Caliope...I saw someone one here with a cat named Caliope once, I think.

I speak Spanish, so I have been leaning towards a Spanish name. I think it is such a beautiful language. I think I have a list of Spanish name somewhere from my first Spanish class. Hmmm....I think it will take me a long time to get Lola re-named. She might have to be White cat at the vet until I find the name for her.

I like Jennifer, & I like Iridian, but I like Bianca & Luna, too. I have been trying out Luna, but she just isn't a Luna either. This is hard! Twitch was a Twitch from the moment I saw her. TigerLily was a Lily & then the Tiger was added because she is a tabby. I considered something completley opposite of her color, like Midnight, but that doesn't work either. She isn't a Lotus Blossom, either. Lotus Blossoms always make me think of something that smells good & she still smells funny.
I thought about something exotic, too. Zoa is one name that always struck my interest. It could work on her.

We have a white cat at our shelter right now named Nila (as in vanila). I also like Angle for an all white kitty. I think if she is shy right now you go with a name that would make you think of an outgoing cat. Sort of a slef fufilling prophacy in the hopes that she will become super friendly.
