Another Odd PM Thing!!

I have another PM problem!

When I receive a PM, I get the pop up alert, so I go to check it (and press the ok for receipt). Then, when I go back to the other page I was looking at, another pop up will arrive with the same details as the last (that I've just viewed!)

So I refresh my inbox and there are no new messages!?!

This has happened every time I have received a PM and it once came up five times!!

Is anyone else getting this?

I think I have gotten it once or twice.

It's not really a problem, to me, I just found it quite strange!

Hello,

The reason you are receiving this is because when you go back to the page you are not refreshing the page cache, so technically it still has the genereated code to show the new private message.

To stop this use the go back links that are available and not the back button on your browser.

With all the new AJAX programming coming into vBulletin these type of things will occur also but as times goes on it will get alot better, and you may not ever have to refresh the page!
