We are looking to get a new bed-- Hubby and I are interested in the Sleep Number beds. We went to one of their stores and got a quote (1800$ for a expanded queen) and I got my sleep number (40). Hubby is balking at the price-- its not that we dont have the money for it but we dont really know if it will be worth it. I LOVED how i felt when i was laying on the tester model. It was like laying on air. I wouldnt die if we didnt buy it but i want to hear from others who have one or know someone who has one. Anyone?

I don't know if you're looking for other options, but have you looked into the Tempurpedic beds? I don't have one (yet) but when I laid on the model in the store....omg, I've never been so comfortable in my life! I don't know if they are much cheaper than the Sleep Number beds, though.

I have one that I inherited ... it is great... only warning I have to the foam only is they break down much quicker than a air bed...

On the west side of... of... somewhere.
I've also heard some iffy things about the tempurpedic beds. Now, as to the initial question... yes, I, at the mere age of 33, have a Sleep Number Bed. When you mess up your back at 17, you try to find comfort early on... Yes, it's a good bed. Worth the money. Mine was also not cheap... Got dual chamber (on the off-chance i might get married someday... HAH!) and the deluxe cushion top mattress... I love it... it's really good for the varying tiems when I have anywhere from no back pain to lots of back pain.

I know it's not cheap... tem-pur-pedic is about the same price. I checked. I'd rather have something where the firmness is adjustable.

I have a tempurpedic bed and is so confortable I just love it and about it not being good I haven't had anything go wrong with it is still as firm and it hasn't changed since I got it but that is just for I guess I just trully love that bed and I couldn't imagine my sleep with out it but I am sure that for all the different tastes the number bed is awsome for other ppl I am sure that you would enjoy your number bed you should always get what you feel more confortable for you and good luck

My uncle is the mgr @ a Slumberland back home - and him and their family all have Tempurpedic beds, they have had them all for awhile now and no one has had problems with them - I'd love to get one -they are SO comfortable!!
I really want to get one when we get the cash - I can get a killer deal on one!
Thank goodness for family in the business right?!

We got a Comfortaire, which wasn't as expensive as Select Comfort. We have a thick memory foam on top too. I love it! More importantly, it allows Shawn to get a good night's sleep, which is not easy for him. I would definitely buy it again.

I just bought the Tempurpedic pillow around Christmas time. I just had not been sleeping well on my old pillows for awhile. Well, this pillow is fantastic! I have not had one bad night of sleep since I bought it. So, I imagine the bed is great, too.

We loved the tempurpedic bed but did not love the price tag!
We bought a Sealy pillow-top mattress, and then my husband found a tempurpedic mattress topper and WOW is our bed comfortable. We got the mattress topper from overstock.com as a special deal. It's all the benefits of the tempurpedic foam plus springs under it for more support--and when the foam breaks down we just cough up another $200 or so for the topper as opposed to having to buy a whole new mattress.

I'd go with either the Sleep Number bed or the Tempurpedic bed. They are both awesome and people I know who have owned them have had no complaints. Either way I think you are getting your money's worth. We bought a Springair pillowtop bed from overstock.com and it's pretty compfy. We payed about 400 for it, and that was half off. That bed isn't nearly as wonderful as a Sleep Number or Tempurpedic, but we couldn't afford those. If you have the money do it, it's sooooo worth it.
