HELP: Post Op Feeding

My lovely Lily is home after surgery and wearing a collar. Is there a trick to feeding a cat who's wearing a cone. Poor baby just knocks the food out of her dish!

I don't think they really can eat with the cone on. My vet showed me how to take it off and put it back on. You have to stay with them while it is off. If it's like the one my vet used it's tied on with a lenghth of gauze and when it's put back on it should be loose enough to get two fingers underneath.
