I had two young cats nutered a couple of days ago. They aslo got their shots. They are still both a bit shaky on their legs. One has been shivering a little, like he is cold or nervous. Is this normal? They seem fairly happy and healthy otherwise. I'm just wondering when I expect them to start walking normally again?

I wouldn't expect a male cat to be shaky a few days after the surgery; they're usually running around as if nothing had happened by the next morning. Are they both males? They may also be having an adverse reaction to the shots, so it would be very advisable to get them back to the vet's.

I agree with seeing a vet. You would have never known it when Buzz was neutered. As a matter of fact my male dogs were also very active when they got home from surgery.

Yes they are both males, about 8 months old. They both got tested for feline lukemia and had their rabies shots. I'm wonder if they may have hit a nerve or something. I've just never heard of this happening before. I am going to talk to the vet tomorrow.

The cats house, we just pay the mortgage..
This sounds very strange to me, I had Sleeves neutered in November and he bounced back the next day, I was never even warned that these could be side effects.
Best of luck with your call to the vet let us know how it goes.
