My oldest kitty is a 3 year old male tabby named Donny. Every night at 10:30pm he comes in to wherever I am and meows at me. It took me a few days to realize he was telling me it was time to go to bed. Once I figured that out, the next night he came to meow, I went straight to bed and he curled up in his usual place at my feet and snoozed through the night. He's already been after me once tonight and is now positioned on top of my monitor showing me how sleepy he is and that it's bedtime.

Our Toby does that too....and sometimes , if he`s really tired, he`ll give up and me and just go get in his little bunk bed. (Not Tedy though....he`s going to stay up til the lights go out and somebody puts him to bed!)
Our Toby looks a lot like your kitty....so maybe these gray Tabbies are just extra smart....what do you think? :-)

Patches will do that to my BF as well. If he's not in bed by a certain time she'll cry. I think its hilarious! She's the only cat of the 3 that has a set schedule though. The Beauty and Luna don't.

Bakker will be in the family room and when I make a move either with my head or I point to the steps indicating that I am going upstairs-he will follow a short time later. His latest is I have a bed pillow on a chest in my computer/sewing room-he has taken to sleeping/laying there when I am on the computer. He will jump onto the table when he thinks I've been here enough!!

That is too sweet! Way better than an alarm cat who won't let you sleep in the morning!

Maybe it is the Tabbiness. The younger black kitty (part siamese, part manx and part tabby) thinks that night time is the time to start racing around the house at full speed (That's how Nascar Cat Racing was born as a sport in our house). Last night must have been the final time trials. She was racing around the entire house at top speed. Donny had to join her. Lots of jingling and crashing. They are hilarious to watch. And when the 100 pound labrador joins them, we just try to get out of the way.
