Should I consider this a good day or a worry-too-much day?

Rigel, I hope you read this!

OK, so I had three spay appts. for the outside kitties that we are going to keep. I knew it would be a white knuckle day. The three females we are keeping are 12 years, 8 years, & 3 years. I couldn't catch the 3 year old one, so I had three spay appts. & 2 cats. So, I took Lily in.
The vet told me he would call to let me know how everyone did at 3 this afternoon & its only 1:30. He called to tell me this morning already that Lily came through fine, so now I only have to worry about the older two females. It is quite a relief to have Lily spayed & not have to worry about her ever going into heat.

I caught the four young toms that are going to be neutered tomorrow & booted Lola out of the dog crate & into a small dog sized carrier. It is the only place I have for her until tomorrow morning. I think that she if finally calm enough to get a bath today!
She was really starting to smell funny.
I got nail caps on her, so I should be a little safer without the danger of claws. Mom & I were talking & I told her I need to know by tomorrow night if she wants to keep Lola as a shop cat or not(if not, I was going to let the HS know & list her as adoptable). She told me she wanted to keep Lola! Not only was I thrilled about that, but she doesn't want her as a shop cat, but a housecat! If Lola adjusts well, we will keep her here with us. If she harms Twitch or Lily, we might need to surrender her to the Humane Society, but mom thinks she is well enough socialized that all three kitties will get along. Twitch seems to like her by now, but who knows what it will be like with Lola out of a cage. She has never been out except for her daily "walks" in the bthroom. I know that mom has become really attached to her. We have spent so much time trying to tame her into a pet. I believe it was sharky who told me ferals sometimes make better pets than cats who have been tame their entire lives! From what I am seeing with Lola, that statement is true!

I can't decide if this has been a good day or a bad day. I get to keep Lola, but I have been really worried about how the spays would go.

It is a good day. Dont worry too much. I know it's like you HAVE to, but think about the good things you're doing.

Sounds like all great news to me.

Aw, what wonderful news! So many kitties getting spayed and neutered! I hope you are able to catch the last girl so she can get spayed, too!

And Lola will be your pet! Yay! As a former feral, I'll bet she gets along GREAT with the other kitties. After all, although she wasn't socialized to humans young, she was part of a colony, so knows all about cat behavior!
