I'm a huge fan of Eagle Pack.

I don't really know where you are in Korea, but the Eagle Pack site lists this:

Korea
Eagle Pack Korea Co. Ltd.
1474-2, Kangdong-Dong, Kangseo-Ku,
Busan-Si, Korea 618-801
Tel:82-51-972-1894-5
Fax: 82-51-972-1897
e-mail: [email protected]

I'm not sure if that helps or not since it could be far from you... but if it's somewhere near you, I highly suggest checking it out.

Oh and their main website is http://www.eaglepack.com

So is science diet just not a good food to feed? Natural choice is better than science diet, wellness and royal canin?

I feed my girls Purina Cat Chow Complete and sprinkle a little Meow Mix Indoor Formula; the vet recommended that I indroduce them to different shapes to prevent them from becoming finicky over the shape of their dry food, hence the sprinkling of Meow Mix. They love this mix, but now I am wondering if this is not the best for them. Am I accurate in this assumation?

Thanks!!

ncarpi, Purina and Meow Mix are definately not high quality foods what so ever. Quite low, actually. I'd say Purina is half a step above Meow Mix, but I would not feed either. I recommend switching foods ASAP. Foods I recommend are Innova EVO, raw, Felidae, Timberwolf Organics, California Natural, Natural Balance and Solid Gold. I personally do not feed a dry kibble, I feed my 4 month old Himalayan Wysong Archetype, which is chunks of dehydrated raw meat and Wysong Duck/Venison/Rabbit Au Jus canned. Good luck!

Yes, it's a fairly good food. Especially their canned formulas, excellent. I used to feed my dog Nutro Natural Choice a little while back and she did great on it. I'd say it's a mid-quality food. But, way way WAY better than Meow Mix and Purina.
Good luck and if you have any more questions feel free to PM me!

oooh, sorry to intrude in on the original poster's thread, but since everyone seems to posing questions about their dry food:

how is eukanuba on the kibble list? the pet store we have carries royal canin, but both mom and i aren't willing to pay the price (12.99 for a 3.5 lb bag!), so we went with eukanuba.

read the label ... I avoid grd corn ( corn grd corn or corn grits on a label _) by products ( head feet and intestines ) chemical preservatives ... I try to avoid soy , wheat and any food where the grain to meat ratio is over 1.5 to 1 ///

read the label and tell me whats on it ... I beleive by products are second and corn is plentiful ... If your shopping at a large national pet store Nutro and Royal canin are your best foods ..IMHO..

I find Nutro to be better than many holistic foods due to no garlic and the grain to meat ratio.... YMMV ...

If I had my way all my animals would be 100% raw but the animals dont agree

This was what I was feeding mine and it made them all sick, so that was the reason for this thread. I do think it is one of the better foods out there.

Well I just picked up a bag of food called premium edge. It has a very good ingredient list! I was going to get nutro natural choice but I liked the ingredients better in premium edge. I started mixing this in to sophias science diet and she really liked it. I was wondering if anyone else has tried this food. Thanks!

It is good food /// I wouldnt say better than Nutro due to it being heavy in the grains
I highighted barley as it is realated to wheat in it s gluten complex thus can be a High allergen
5-6 grains( potatoe is a starch thus I include it in grains) and two or three meats( depending what the generic fish meal is ) ... rosemary is no longer on my kids menus ( thank you Pat ) ... I am not partial to alot of fuits and veggies in a dry food as they are mainly fiber with little other value

Heavy grain means lower digestabilty and the grains used only two are truely digestable to a kitty rice( brown rice decreases the digestability) and oat

This is truly a good formula and I found quite reasonabley priced$$$... i did use it for a time with Zoey but after one bag went back to the natural choice( Zoeys choice and what I learned on here about grains)

I too have just started feeding Premium Edge "finiky adult cat formula" dry food. She seems to like it. I also have been mixing it with Science Diet light (coincidence: I started this combo way before reading the post). Soph: I too find it to be a good mixture. It seems she eats most of the science diet first and saves some of the premium edge for the next morning.

Why does a cat need oatmeal, potatoes, kelp, carrots, peas, tomatoes or apples?
