Do you and your sweetheart give each other gifts for V-Day? We do, but this year I'm having a hard time coming up with anything...I don't want to go over $50.

What are you giving your cherished one?

We agreed to only get each other cards this year since we're trying to save for everything going on this year. I bet I spend more money this year than I have in my whole life!

I don't have a sweetheart this year, but....

I think since your budget's a little tight something traditional and thoughtful like a nice teddy bear or stuffed animal with a cute message on it and some chocolate or some type of candy would be fine. Maybe something that describes him - just follow your heart and trust how well you know him! And of course a card too.

Same here. Officially he's my 2nd valentine EVER, so needless to say I always have a hard time either remembering the day or picking out something.
Hmmm...maybe I could prank him...since he just started a new job, send him a bouquet of flowers at work saying "I've seen you at lunch and think you're hot."

Lee is getting a card. Maybe a box of those Resse's hearts. THey are his absolute fav.
He always gets me 2 or 3 cards. He says he can never pick between the funny ones that fit us oh so well and the romantic ones he knows will make me cry.

He likes to get the GIGANTIC cards they sell at the gas station and put my favorite candy bar in it and some lottery tickets too.

Hmm.. I'm actually now getting some ideas. They're over $50, but oh well. I figure its justifiable if he's going to spend on me for dinner and whatever else. Although I just hate spending $$ for a Hallmark Holiday.

Anyhoo, my first idea, which I'll most likely go with is a boombox for his Sirius receiver. I got him Sirius receive for Christmas, but within 2 weeks it was dead. So I called the warranty department on it and they're sending me a new one...although its not the same receiver since they've stopped making it. I was actually ticked off with Sirius as they're sending me as a replacement something just for the car (whereas the one I bought him was for both the car and home). So I told him to go ahead and pick out a new one. I know he wants the boombox, so maybe I'll get that as an addition...or maybe take his car up to Circuit City for the car installation...thats only $70.

My other idea is a flat screen monitor. His current monitor is so blurry that its horrible!! But that's like a $250 item. Maybe save that for his birthday.

O-H-I-O!
We have the past 3 years but neither of us have money so we may go out to eat for a nice dinner but that's the extent of it this year.....

No ring this year I guess
