Alert for rural cat owners

DH & I went to his sisters house to watch the game yesterday. They of course are well aware of my love of cats. My BIL told a tru story- I'm thinking this must have happened in summer/fall summer that a lady they know who has an indoor cat. A fischer must have known that some sort of animal was in the house. This fischer tore open the window screen caught the cat, dragged it outside and killed it. Someone was home and saw this and lets just say the fischer won't be a problem anymore. If you aren't familiar with what a fischer is do a google search on it.
I was horrified. One thinks there cats are safe inside.

This is a terrible thought! The poor cat.

At first, I couldn't find the animal on a search. By spelling it "fisher" instead of "fischer", I found this link, for those who are curious.

Where are these fishers found, north, south, east, everywhere. Does anyone know.

I have never heard of such an animal - glad we dont have them in this country
