I don't know about that... The Seahawks made some mistakes but those refs made some bad calls. Even the commentators were surprised!

Anyway, congrats Steelers fans.

Under the cats, mostly.
I watched it... I had to stay up til 4am to see it because of the time difference. Rune was kicking himself because he coudln't stay awake long enough to see the final quarter (I coudlnt' wake him up) so he just had to get the score form me this morning!!
Was a good match!
I agree the refs made some really bad calls.... I woudln't have called that first touchdown at all. But still.... life goes on eh? Our commentators were more interested in making really spicy food for eachother and using helium balloons liven up the commentary a bit. They're a blast!

I wanted the sea hawks to win just because they were the underdogs. There were quite a few BAD calls made. Even after the review and the people upstairs said that the call was bad, the head ref didnt take some of them back. But oh well. They played their best.

What about that half time show. I thought it was TERRIBLE! the Stones were horrible, they didnt sound good and they are SO OLD! They need to hang it up! But i guess they are still the STONES! Greatest Rock and roll band ever, just not last night!!

The Seahawks should have just given the trophy to the Steelers out front.
After all...the Seahawks live in one of the most beautiful cities in the country....Seattle.
Were do the Steelers live? Pittsburg?
No contest...let them have the stupid trophy.

I did enjoy the Stones half time show. They just keep on ticking.

I think there are many Packer fans glad that the Steelers won. Many are unhappy on how Holmgren left Green Bay. Even though there is a major road (Holmgren Way) named after him-its right by Lambeau Field and I have driven it many many times. Half time was ok-it seemed Mic Jagger was screaming out the songs though. The Fed Ex and Budweiser commercials were good.

It honestly didn't matter to me who won the Super Bowl this year. In the end though, I was glad the Steelers won. I think Jerome Bettis deserved a ring, and I especially enjoy seeing the excitement in the faces of the players and coaches after a Super Bowl win. The Steelers showed so much emotion that I was glad that they pulled it off.

The Half Time show was a huge disappointment. I like the Rolling Stones, but the producers of the Half Time show should have really put more effort into planning something "big". This is the Super Bowl for goodness sakes.

I was a bit concerned that Mick might have a heart attack on stage but I still enjoyed their geriatric rock.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought there were some horrible calls yesterday. It seemed from the beginning that the refs wanted the Steelers to win, and giving them a 14 point swing (the pass interference that was questionable at best to negate the Seattle touchdown, and the Rothliberger touchdown which shouldn't have been...) sure helped them out.

Overall the Steelers did play a good game overall, though, and they can't be blamed for the bias of the refs. It was a good game, and they deserved to win.
Congratulations Steelers!

I think that from watching it both teams kinda sucked, it was like a competition on who sucked worse. Not sucked I guess but very mediocre and not superbowl worthy. Sure there were a couple glimmers from each team, but for most part it was boring. The steelers seemed to be afraid to take chances (except the trick play) and the seahawks seemed to not be able to follow through on anything to score. Poor Ben, who is usually so cocky and sure of himself, looked terrified.

I think the calls made were interesting. The Ben thing I wouldn't have given him but I'm not a ref. It did look as if the ball may have broke the plane while he was in the air but how do you even determine that.. I guess there must not have been conclusive evidence to overturn the ruling on the field.

I'm glad the steelers won, but I would have liked to have a star, and a game that was really on. Instead it was just ho hum. I'm still proud but it kinda took away from it a bit.

So, have you ever been to Pittsburgh? I think you need to see it before making a judgment about its beauty or lack of it. I think it's a great city with a lot to do. Western PA is very nice, lots of mountains and trees. At least it doesn't rain all the time here.

I am very happy for the Steelers. Neither team played as well as they could, but there were some good plays on both sides, and some questionable calls.

I have to agree. Pittsburgh is a BEAUTIFUL city, especially in the fall.

But enough of that.....

WE WON!

But it was an AWESOME game. Did anyone see Holgrom diss Bill Cowher though? I was pretty PO-ed!

<sigh> yes, the Steelers did win. They made one or two brilliant plays and aside from dropping three key passes, and 8 bad calls, we faced a good opponent. I just wish we could've known they brought their best weapon with them: baised refs. But if you back out the questionable calls, then they did win - but by 3.

I guess the Stones should count themselves lucky that they're all still alive. Many of their contemporaries haven't been so lucky. But if they are no longer capable of delivering a quality performance on stage, especially at the single biggest sports event in North America, they should think about retiring.

I was rooting for the Steelers but only because Joey Porter is the hometown boy! He was a star at one of the local high schools
