Well, it has been a long time since I have actually been able to sit down a read TCS forums.
I have been so busy with my new job, which I love so much. I think God made me wait to find a job for a reason.
I am so happy with my new job, I have been there for about a month and a half now and I love it more and more everyday!! Tim also got a new job. He is delievering Miller products and training to get his CDL. He started his job a week before I started mine.
With the new year Tim and I thought a new begining! Boy were we wrong. Some of you may have read a few of my other posts. Now I am being sued from my old veterinary clinic for my bill from when my kitten died from FIP.
I have been making monthly payments of $30 a month, which is all that I can afford right now. I have been making them on time. 2 weeks ago a sheriff comes knocking on my dorr at about 7:00pm. I answer it and he asks who I am and then hands me papers, stating I have to be in court on Feb. 15th. I am being sued for $970 in vet care plus the court fees. Now, I don't quite understand why they would sue me if I am making payments. They are not going to get their money any faster that way!
Tim's old company has held his last two checks from us from December. Why you ask? Lord only knows! We didn't get anywhere with that. But hopefully we will get them next week. I don't answer the phone anymore because it is always bill collectors at least 30 times a day!
So I had to go to two pay day loan stores to get money to pay our rent last month! That was not fun. Then I was unable to pay my $450 health insurance cobra on time, so yep you guessed it I no longer have health insurance! This is NOT a good thing at all! I take 5 medications dialy and have a bad back. I did get a lot of samples of my medications from my doctor, bless her heart! Now I just pray to God I don't get hurt during these next couple months until my new insurance will kick in! Needless to say Tim and I are stressed beyond belief... We cannot even afford to by gorceries. Our checks pay for gas and rent right now. Until we get those two checks being held from us. But even then I will not be able to pay my vet bill in full!

So, there you have it!! This is why I haven't been on in a long time. I keep praying to God for a mirical.(sp) I even wrote to Oprha's Angel Network to see if they could give us a hand!

Oh, boy! Sounds like although things are looking up, you still have LOTS of baggage from your past financial difficulties!

How awful of the vets office to sue you! Maybe having the law involved will turn out for the best? If you show the judge your financial difficulties, and the way you have paid regularly, despite even losing your own insurance coverage, maybe s/he will cut the bill.

Hugs to you at this difficult time...I know you are stressed, but with both of you working now, you will soon be home free!

I am sorrry to hear of your troubles. I am not sure of all the legal behind it but if you have been making payments on time as scheduled, and they have not refused any of them...they judge may toss it out.

If they are cashing your checks, that shows they are aware of your payment arrangements.

Just to help you out in the meantime-can you go to a local food pantry???
Is Tim's old job still in business??? The state of WI Dept of Workforce Development has a # 800-247-1744. This is for Employer Info or Assistance.perhaps they can help. Watch those payday loans-they can really hurt your situtation.
