This is my first post

The author of the Warrior books is Erin Hunter. I have only read the first 2 which i have in paperback. The 3rd is not out, in the UK, until April

Long time to wait to see what happens to Fireheart, Greystripe and the gang.

Another good series of books are 'The Cat Who....' by Lilian Jackson Braun. They are about a newspaper man, Qwilleran, who is owned by a siamese with catitude who helps him solve murders.

They are centered, at least the 2 i have read, around a 'kittypet' called Rusty who feels the pull of the wild.

He leaves his nice warm home and joins a group of wild cats in the woods called 'Thunderclan'.

The stories are about all his trials and tribulations in trying to join the clan and be accepted as one of them.

They are aimed at children (12'ish) however i am ....well.....of more mature years and love any books centred around cats.

Oh, I wish you had all of the first series VampireCat!!! It is so good!!! I'm on the second, but I'm in the US. I do not even think of them as being for 12 year olds. I love them to much to care..lol (16) You should look them up on the internet and find out more. You'll love them!

I ddin't see this thread before I made another thread. I love this series! I've just finished the 3rd book. I'm getting caught up on all the books I would have loved when I was younger so have been reading a lot of young adult books (Narnia, Harry Potter, Inheritance, Firebringer Trilogy, lots of others). The 3rd book was actually kind of sad though. I want to read the next one just to get the story up-spirit again!

The first series of Warriors is great!!!! I'm actually going back and re-reading them all, but some parts are just so sad. I plan on buying the Firebringer series when I have the money. Have you read it already and is it any good? I'm on the second series in the Warriors books and they are great! You'll like them too!

I didn't know they were seperated into 2 different series. I'm going to B&N tonight to pick up the 4th book. I'm also on the second Narnia book. I can't believe how little those books are....when you take out the pictures and everything they are really half the size of the warriors books. Its one of those cases where I think the movie fleshed out the book instead of the other way around.

I read the Firebringer trilogy probably about 2 or 3 years ago and it went into my favorites list. I LOVED it! When I was really little I was all about castles and unicorns. So this was the perfect series for me. Someday I will have to reread it. Its a classic childrens fantasy.

The Inheritance trilogy is interesting...It definitely is trying to be like Harry Potter and some of those others. But the fact that the author was only 16 when he wrote it says something. I love the dragon Saphira. She's my favorite character. However, I go through this series and am constantly reminded of other books I have read (even Shakespeare). I lacks originality. I think I like Warriors so much because I haven't read anything like it.

That's exactly my point!!! From the first moment I picked up the first Warriors book I was like, "Wow! This is what I have been looking for!" Before them I had gotten so board with books. I'm not a big Harry Potter fan and I wasn't finding anything else I liked till Warriors. Okay, so you are on the 4th book....that means you will be done with that series at book 6. Then they start a new series call Warriors: The New Prophecy. They are great too, but the first series was just so original and wonderful. They will forever be my all time favorite books!
Did you know Erin Hunter is actually Two people?!? That one surprised me!
