i adopted an 8yr old maine coon about a week ago. ive noticed that in the last 3 days, shes awakened with large brown eye boogies in one eye. her 3rd eyelids are fine, theres no redness, no watering...
she did get a bath the day before her 1st eye boogie and im wondering if i got shampoo or something in her eye. she was checked out by the vet and got a clean bill of health (on tues)
could she have had herpes in the past and just has occasional crust or something?

You don't need to worry. As long as there is no sign of conjunctvitis (red eye) or watering, there isn't an infection. It is normal for some cats to get eye goobies, especially certain breeds of cats, most notably persians.

Just use a wet cotton ball and wipe it away.

This is what Lola has, WITH the redness.
She is on Amoxiciliin oral and Erythromycin ointment.
She is not clearing up since started meds on monday.
