The new beta version of Internet Explorer 7, has been released by Microsoft.
I downloaded it then removed it about 10 minutes later.
It is supposed to be more efficient but I found it confusing.
Also flaws have been discovered in it already.
I went back to using IE 6 .

Has any one else tired IE 7 yet?
Any comments?

I'm always interested in new versions of my software, but it sounds like maybe I should just wait. It wouldn't be the first time I upgraded something and then removed it and went back to the old version. Oh, well.

Me to Tim. I should be less impulsive and wait until the bugs are out of new versions before I try them.

I just updated to Firefox 1.5 and am seeing improvements on the Flash. There are still some sites that are too IE centric but for the most part, I can stay with Firefox.

Unbelievably, IE7 does not work concurrently on a system with MSN running. You would have thought they were smarter than that. They're not.

Don't install IE7 unless you can roll your system back. Too many problems with it. Blogs are full of crazy problems.

I am still trying to talk my boss into the benefits of installing firefox (especially as the last computer we bought for the office came with both FF and IE installed - I may win my battle)
