Not quite the inane question of the week I keep threatening, but I was just going through folders deleting things on my hard drive, (I love keeping it clean.
) and I found some photos I took of my softball team at the bar last summer. I only played with them one summer and will probably not see them again since I'm moving away in the spring. We had some good laughs, but they were hard to get to know. The games were over quick and 99% of the time they all just went home. With my occasional goofy remarks and demand to bat cleanup in the order, I thought the team captain was going to be quite relieved last fall when I said I wouldn't be around this year, but she gave me crap for my plans to leave.
I still think I miss people more than they miss me. I'm looking forward to this spring though. I'll get to meet some new people and I'll be in the best shape possible too hopefully.
It seems like this topic can boil up and down to a lot of things. I'm lost already.
So.... do you like.... deleting things? There... that's more inane.

I regularly delete things after thinking, `I'm gonna regret this'. And then I regret it.

And yes, a few years ago I met a girl and we hit it off instantly. We caught up a few times and it looked like the making of an awesome friendship. Then we lost touch. I didn't know her well, but I still miss her, we had a really fun time together and I'd love to see her again. You can never have too many girlfriends in this life!

I think a lot about people I didn't know well. I don't know. I'm a big what iffer. I don't think it's healthy though because it's dwelling on the past and really nothing can ever change what has already happened. But when I was younger I had a lot of online friendships that just dropped out of existence and for some reason those haunt me more than real people, even though there are plenty of those as well.

Hmmm....well I guess this is close, but I feel like I know the crossing guard at the catholic school I pass. He just reminds me so much of my grandpa. I mean I've never met him, I see him every morning though and for some reason I just like watching him direct traffic. He's really not a crossing guard, most of the kids there are driven to school in thier parent's fancy SUV's.
It makes me miss my Grandpa a lot. I'm gonna call him tomorrow (my Grandpa, not the crossin guard!). I would miss the crossing guard if he left.

As for deleting things. On the computer yes, in my house, I'm a packrat!

I know what you mean. When I look back at pictures of things like summer jobs I had in college, I miss those people. Of course it's been waaay too long to ever contact them again.

Maybe it's not the people I knew in my 20's I miss...maybe I just miss being in my 20's!

I'm terrified of deleting things...I'm so afraid that it's something essential to the functioning of the computer!
Thank God my hard drive is 250GB!

I think you make a good point there. I miss my 20's already.

Your hard drive is huge! I bet it's pretty full though if you take digital photos. I've got a 120GB drive with 83% free space. It feels good to have that much space on the drive.

I miss my old campers. I used to be a camp counselor in Southern California. I wonder what happened to them in life. I also miss the other counselors too. Those times were the best, even the skeeter bites.

I just checked...I still have 207GB free. Of course, I've only had this computer about 2 months!
You're right, I have a ton of pictures on it!
