Hobbs has a clear thin watery discharge coming out of his left eye for about a week. Here is a pic. He is acting just fine however. Should I be concerned? Thanks.

As long as it is clear it could just be a minor irritation, allergy, etc.

I would not worry - keep an eye on it and if it changes to a yellow or other colored discharge then I would call the Vet.

As right now I would not consider it a problem

Would ask you please not to post such large photos in the selected forums.
It is difficult for dial up users to access posts with photos which is why so many members do stay away from fur pictures. Small photos are fine to post-

no problem
Is there a size that you can recommend by pixel, as I can reduce my pics to almost any size?

What a lovely kitty, i'm in love!!

I took Star to the vet for the same problem, he said as long as the nose isn't haveing bad discharge, and the eye looks clear and open, it could just be alittle dust or allergy.
hope this helps.

Chichi has this problem, especially in the winter and springtime. In the winter the air is dryer, therefore irratating the eyes. Try a humidifier to restore the moisture back to the air. In the springtime the pollen irratates her eyes, so I try to keep the windows shut.

We have this problem from time to time with Hannah. We're pretty certain it's allergy related, so the dr. gave us some drops to use to help alleviate the irritation in her eye. Just watch it and make sure it doesn't change colors, become goopy, or that there's no nasal discharge.

My stray cat Tuffy had a watery right eye since I had him. One day he had a yellow bubble of stuff by the corner of his right eye. I tried to wipe it off but it was hard. I carefully hooked the yellow thing with my figernail to pop it off, well it came loose but wouldn't fall away. I got ahold of it again and as I pulled on it a piece of something about a 1/4" long or so came out with it. His eye watered for about a day after I got whatever it was out of there and has not watered since. His eye watered real bad the day before the yellow blob formed. It was so bad he had water dripping from his eye when he sat up. It must have took a long time for his system to get the hair or whatever it was worked out of his eye.
