Hello, I'm new to this site. I'm Shannon & I am a Nursing student. I also take care of my neighborhood strays. Yesterday, I had my first male neutered. He is still trying to mate with my female who won't get spayed until March. In human males, semen is stored for up to 4 months. Is it also stored in cats? Hw long do I wait before they can interact safely? I hadn't thought about this when I picked him up & the vet is closed on weekends. Thank you for all your help.

After Neutering ??

I have read different timescales for this, one was a few weeks, one was 6, and unless someone can prove it is the earlier, I would go for the later to be on the safe side.

I can't believe the vet didn't mention that to me knowing I still had an unspayed female! Anyway, thank you for the help.
