Movie Theater Rant - Page 2

Max and I go to about four movies a week, on average (yeah - it's great living with an actor!! ... lol)

We don't talk, we take out our rubbish, we make sure we go to the loo beforehand so we don't have to get up, we don't have plastic or crackly paper in there - we are the theatre mutes!!! People who don't respect others at the movies are INFURIATING!!!!

One of the many reasons why i prefer getting the dvd and sitting in the comfort of my own home, that and not to hear people yacking through the film

I rarely go to the cinema but love the local drive in, they get most movies the same week as the local theatre (sometimes the week after) and always show the 'big' movies. Its $11 per person or $15 per carload here and that gets you 2-3 movies compared to the $11 per person per movie at the cinema.

Our local drivein is owned by a company that have a few around Ontario and with them expanding one of them I would say that if anything - the drive in is back in style.

I go in comfy clothes, take a blanky and turn on the heated seats and am as happy as I would be at home on the recliner! (saying that we take the truck and its super comfy).

We have a drive-in about 2 km from our house and I can't wait for the nice weather for it to open again.

We went to Capote Saturday night - I'm a little person and the guy who sat right in front of me was tall and had the biggest head I've seen in a long time - honestly he really had a massive head. It blocked out exactly one half of the screen from me.

I wasn't too upset though since I didn't much care for the movie.

I do hate people who talk and generally disrupt everyone else's viewing.

We finally went and saw Harry Potter a couple of weeks ago. Its highway robbery for the popcorn and soda-I could have had a good bottle of wine for that price. Its was pretty quiet though. One question I always had is we go early to get a good seat but then comes latecomers and say there are a couple of empty seats on each side of us but they need three-should I feel bad about not moving my seat??? That's the point of going early!!
We have a drive-in theatre in my small town. It opened a couple of yrs ago and the show 1st run movies!! They also sell beer in their concession stand!!
Its a very popular place.

no - do not feel guilty! i do this in church - get there early to sit at the end of a row. they flash these signs to 'move to the center' but i won't - if those late people would get there on time, they would be able to find good seats!
