Any of you gals out there have men that think they don't have to clean their wound when they get hurt?? Everytime my boyfriend gets hurt and bleeds, being a cat scratch or whatever, he doesn't even clean the cut!!!
He just thinks he is invincible and bacteria doesn't exist. Sorry if this sounds like I'm being silly, but it really bothers me. He likes to collect knives and when he cuts himself, he just puts superglue to close the wound before he even cleans it first!!!!!! When I tell him he needs to take care of himself he just laughs at me. I have even tried making him wash it, but I am only 5'1" and he is 6'0" so that isn't very successful.

my husband is very efficent when it comes to keeping cuts clean, he has all sorts of antiseptics and bandaids lol

never heard of using superglue, that can't be good, i think you should try to convince him to stop using it

Superglue works awesome on cuts! It holds it together, and by the time it comes off, the wound is healed. Might be poisonous or something, though.

get him some liquid bandaid/bandage.

works the same way but not as toxic.

Look for it by the bandaids. It's in a small bottle.

you could also try some "wound wash" kinda thing too.
it's just a saline wash.
just squirt it on his cut when he isn't watching.
keep a paper towel or clean towel close.

My husband is a custom knifemaker. He cuts himself regularly because we build knives completely from scratch. Putting a blade on the grinder is quite dangerous and that is when he generally gets cut. He comes into where I am at for me to tend his wounds. He is also diabetic so he knows that wounds need to be watched carefully.

I think he needs to learn he isn't invincible. Although something fell on my foot today during the move and I haven't yet tended to it.
