I bought 2 large tropical plants today, and it has really brightened up my apartment.

Anybody else do something for yourself that boosted your mood?

Tomorrow I'm going to the gym, grabbing a coffee afterwards and heading to a movie.

Let's see... I bought some new drumsticks today... that made me happy! Not looking forward to tomorrow, though... work, lots of homework and I need to swap out the oxygen sensors in the car. I think I might need some plants and stuff for my room... feels like a cave in here.

Plants will definitely bring life to your room, and it sounds like much needed oxygen.
Cool that you play drums!

Boy does that sound familiar, my poor old truck is currently running without it's air intake sensor.

Yes, plants, plants, plants.
Too bad our cats are like maniacs around houseplants, mine always end up wintering in the bathroom with a grow light

As for myself, I think I'll use a movie quote here to sum it up.
"I did nothing. I did absolutely nothing, and it was everything I thought it could be"

Sounds awesome!
Too bad it's 2:30am and delivery is a no go. Actually, it's probably a good thing.

We don't have any places around here that deliver chinese!
or even shark and tatties for that matter. It was so delicious and I'm going to have some cold for lunch tomorrow!

Jenn, which plants did you buy?! I'd like to see them in situe, cheering your place up!

Eddie, you certainly know how to make a girl jealous!!
My Narcissus have been poking out of my patio pots since before Christmas and I'm so excited for them to come up!! I'm awaiting my Hyasinth too!

I can just smell the aroma!! Hmmmmm!! What a lovely idea to bring them into your bedroom - you'll have the perfect fragrance of spring!

All this talk of plants is makeing me want to visit the garden centre today!!
Maybe I'll buy the Camelia I want and something colourful for the house!

I bought the new Stephen King novel Cell and started reading it last night.
I finally brought my amaryllis bulb out of hibernation so it should start growing soon and took a 2 miles walk this am and chatted with a neighbor (big landscape project $$$) for me!!

We are actually tearing down some walls. This is part of our ongoing renovation project.

We were going to install a handrail for the stairs leading to my upstairs bedrooms. But then I thought, how can I install a handrail when I haven't even painted the walls yet (we redid the electrical and have plaster marks everywhere). From there, Rob and I both said we should tear down the walls before we paint or install the handrail.
Our plan is to have a loft type space upstairs.

So, it may not be simple, but it sure is a real pleasure to tear these walls down!
I'll post a new renovation thread when we're finished this weekend. And then, we'll install the handrail as originally was planned.

Things, as you see, are never simple in this house! But, a simple pleasure for me would be fresh flowers. Especially at this time of year.
