This morning I had to be at work by 6:00 am. I was driving in and all of a sudden I saw a white cat run in front of my car. This cat was running faster than I had ever seen a cat go. This is a main road and I was driving about 55-60 mph. I slammed on my brakes, but realistically if that cat had been going any slower I would not have been able to avoid it.
I was a little shaken up after that so I decided I needed a Starbucks coffee
After I stopped there I turned into our office complex, was driving down the main road and another cat ran right out in front of me. I have been working here for 3 years now and have never seen a cat running around! This time I was going about 20 mph, so I was able to stop in plenty of time. But wow, my nerves are frazzled right now.
I can kind of look at this 2 ways. It either means I am going to have a very bad day OR it could mean that I am going to have a very lucky day since both cats made it across safely. Either way I would prefer that this would not have happened this morning.

Call it blessed. The day before yesterday I was coming home from the vets office with one of my cats. I saw a cat running and knew he was headed for the highway in front of me. I had a car right behind me and was meeting another one. I was travelling about 50. I did hit the cat. I glanced in my rear view mirror and he was still running on all fours. He went into the woods. I turned around and went back. I talked to two different people there. I learned there is a woman in the neighborhood that feeds about twenty cats. So there are a lot of strays there. I never saw the cat again and I am hoping I just gave it a glancing blow and that it is okay. But I felt really bad that it happened.

I am so sorry
I know how I felt after I ran over a squirrel a few months back. It is very hard to deal with. You did everything you could though to try and make sure the cat was ok. Some people would have just kept on going.

Under the cats, mostly.
if they give you grey hairs, I can't imagine the fright that little white cat has had in it's lifetime! I'm so glad neither of them was hurt - I think you'd rather have the grey hairs and a few frazzled nerves than a flat cat sweetie
but it's good to hear you're all ok

Well, neither cat was black at least! I'd say it's good luck, and maybe a sign that you should rescue them...hehe....

I am actually pretty good at sticking to it. Brody wouldn't have stayed here if it weren't for him being sick, now I am just stuck with him

Loving my beautiful baby girl
I vote lucky day, Tanya!
Congratulations on your reflexes being so great that time in the morning! That early, I can hardly walk to my car, let alone drive with that kind of alertness and precision!
Sure hope those precious kitties made it safely to where they were going.
