Spraying Action Nothing Coming Out

I have a one yr old male neutered cat Mikey. Ever since he was a few months old he has done this peculur (sp) behavior. He gets on my pillow and backs up to my headboard with his tail raised. he does a lil tail wiggling and then lays down on my pillow. He is not spraying because nothing comes out. I took him to vet and no problems with uti.

Ive had many cats over the years but none has ever done this. TIA for any insite

They say that a shakey tail is a sign of love and affection! My little black female cat does this too.

There is something coming out, but it isn't liquid, it's his scent and he is marking the area with it. You can't smell it or see it, but other cats can, and more importantly so can he.

Prego does this, too. I thought since I couldn't see anything coming out, that nothing was happening. It's nothing I should try to clean up or anything is it? I haven't been.
