ANTISOCIAL Kitty?!?!?!

Hi,
My furbabies name is Chester. I have had him since he was 8 weeks old and he has always been very friendly! He always loved to be held and to be played with and petted. He is about 11 months old now and I cannot figure out what his problem is. He no longer likes to be held and scratches when you try, he hates being petted (execpt when your feeding him) and spends the magority of his day hiding in our basement!!! I bought him a little kitty bed with a cover and everything so its very nice and private and fussy (fleece) but he just likes to sleep on the cold, hard, dirty basement floor! Then when you try and bring him back upstairs he runs from you! I am so sad! He was so nice to cuddle with and now he is like kittyzilla! What can I do?!??!?!?!?!?!

I would get him to a vet pronto. Although they do grow out of the affection stage, he could very well be trying to show you that he just doesn't feel well.

I dont think it is health related as he was just at the vet resently and the vet said he was in excellent health. : ) Anyone have anything else? Im really disappointed, he used to be so sweet!

Any changes like what you've described, the cat should really be checked over by a vet

Maybe a second opinion by a different vet????
