Seems to me that WW3 is brewing***

Al queda attacks us, and promises more attacks. Al Queda will attack us with nuclear weapons if it is able to obtain them, which IMO is just a matter of "when" and not "if".

Al Queda has launched dozens of attacks against other countries around the globe, and promises many more.

France's President Chirac states that nuclear weapons may be used against nation states that initiate terrorist attacks against France, or harbor any such terrorists that attack France.

Iran's President vows to wipe a sovereign democratic (and nuclear) nation off the map, and mindlessly provokes the world by stating that Iran will continue its nuclear program, even though the world has stated that a nuclear Iran is not acceptable and will not happen.

Iran's psychotic President has declared that an apocalypse is imminent.

Hamas, a terrorist organization, is now the governing elected body of the Palestinian people.

Seems to me that in the next couple of years something is going to ignite
WW3.

I think we're already in the middle of it, and probably have been for a while (not just Iraq!). It just hasn't been declared as such.

I agree, that's what I've been thinking....It will probably be called WW3 in history books years from now.

I guess there will always be world wars, one after the other. I may sound like a child, but I wasnt to know why we can't all just get along?! I suppose it's because there are a lot of wackos out there, and people think that war solves everything.......grrrr........It just isn't right. It doesn't make much sense to me. It's just rivalry, and "no fair! They bombed me, so I should bomb them. So ha!" And getting back at each other and such. You can't fight fire with fire. It just makes it all worse. It's just childish! They try and teach children not to fight and to love people and understand, but what are they supposed to think when they see all these wars going on?!

Is there anyone who agrees with me??



Well anyways, yes I believe that we are in the midst of WW3 right now, unfortunately..

There is certainly a lot of 'tit-for-tat' going on Sweetiecat, and it is very worrying. As for France threatening nuclear strikes, I believe they would do it, and to me that's as worrying as some lunatic terrorist having access to nukes. France is a wealthy country and must have lots of nuclear weapons, whereas I doubt a terrorist organisation, however many people are in it, would be able to get hold of more than one or two.

The worst thing about the whole situation is how the leaders of the Western world have reacted to it. Instead of diplomacy, they seem to be so belligerent, and we ordinary folk are finding that our lives are more constrained than ever because of it. As for the cost of keeping our armies 'out there', words fail me....think of the difference that money could have made to tackling poverty across the world (and just maybe alleviating some of the reasons why people are so desperate that they turn to violence?)

I agree with Heidi ... we're already in the middle of WWW III. And have been for some time. And will be for some time to come. It's a different kind of war than the last world war.

It will take hundereds of years for something to have a one government that has control over one world. Granted, if that was to happen, more wars will break out becasue of it on *who* will control it and what freedoms that the government will give. Technically people think the UN is leading us into a one world government, but that will never happen with all of the problems it has and is having currently. A world organization has already failed once, it will probably fail again.

Just look at all the problems the European Union has, and that only has 25 members.
