Supersize me? - Page 2

Oh, wow. I completely ignore the FDA guidelines because they just don't seem to know what to do with food.

Recently, I have been on this eating out kick, but I think it just ended after being reminded of that movie. Truth be told, I don't like fast food all that much. I am not a big fan of sweets, either (once in a while, but not everyday).

I got into a healthy lifestyle by listening to what my body really wants, not what my brain thinks I want. I actually prefer homemade salads over McDonald's cheeseburgers.

The tough part is trying to break the initial cycle.

If you eat ANYTHING 3 times a day for 30 days you will get sick - Not necessarily fat, but you will get sick because your body will be deficient in something.

No one FORCES people to eat McDonalds - There are plenty of places out there now that sell sandwiches and salads in Take-Away shops.

Food isn't just the problem - No one exercises anymore - This is the main issue.

Metabolism will always have a role to play - I would eat crap food all week and I won't put on any weight - Why? Because my body has a super fast metabolism that breaks down food really quickly. So I have to eat many small meals a day so I'm not hungry. I can't just have 3 meals or my stomach will start to eat itself!

People need to STOP blaming other people for their health problems. Back in the early part of the 1900's people used LARD and FAT to cook everything with! They would have bread soaked in dripping! The difference was a) that was all they had and b) they exercised and walked everywhere. It is not up to the corporations or the Government to get you to eat healthy and exercise. Yes, they can educate children at school about what is the healthy thing to do, but it is up to the parents to actually make sure that the children implement what they learn at school by giving them access to good foods and to have the time to exercise properly.

People spend too much time looking the other way instead of looking at themselves to solve a problem.

Interestingly enough, a lot of Amish people suffer from cardiovascular diseases, because they've maintained their centuries-old eating habits, but apparently have also been affected by today's more sedentary lifestyle.

Exactly - So by proving thats its a lot more than diet that goes towards being healthy and maintaining a healthy weight.
