They are all so beautiful, John.

Ohio isn't that far from PA, I just might have to make a road trip

I'm happy now that I got my Amber fix...she is such a cutie.

Wow..four and a half hours later...I just read this thread from page one all the way to fifty six...LOL...John your babies are amazing. You newest addition Baxter looks like my boy Hercules twin..They look exactly alike, when I first saw his pic I had to go double check to make sure I still had Hercules!!! I would like to know if you have any new updates about the zoning people who are throwing a hissy fit? I cant wait to see more pics now...atleast next time I look it wont be a four hour escapade..LOL....

Yes, you can pet him (Basil the fox) once he gets used to you. Fox tend to be on the skitish and high strung side. But once he knows who you are, he will usually say hello to you with a fox bark and let you pet him

Carmelo Is the absolute cutest there is, that one of his face
The one after he was sniffing the flowers? I know, he looked so happy and content. It was such a beautiful day and it sure looked like he was enjoying it as much as I was

It wouldn't take you that long. Would be a nice little road trip for you
I was hoping to have more pictures of Amber, but sometimes these guys just don't want to cooperate with me when I have the camera out

Baxter does look like Hercules
Baxter is the kitten we found hiding under my car during a very cold and snowy winter day. He is doing really good, but it is a long and very slow process of getting Amber and Boris to accept him. They will eventaully, it just takes them a lot longer. Bobcats can be very stubborn at times. As for the zoning issue, all seems to be ok now. Lets hope it stays that way and that the state doesn't pass that exotic animal bill either

We will be spending the day with the big kids tomorrow. I will have the camera with me for sure

Looks like Carmelo is almost fully grown. Just a couple faint remnants of his baby spots left on his back legs. He certainly turned out to be a handsome cougar.

And how are things with Nakoma? Does he let you get close to him and pet him now or is he still pretty cautious around people?

Awww, that was when he was still a little cub
He loved his box

Thank you SO MUCH John! I really needed to see pictures of your fur family today.
You're welcome.

I keep telling my wife he is an adult now and she says, no he's not, I can still see spots. I think Carmelo will always be a cub to her
He will still grow a little more, you can tell by the size of his big paws.
Nakoma is doing really good. No, we can't pet him, but you can sit next to him and he will look at you, wag his tail and give eye squinches. Since he missed out from a lot of cuddling and holding as a kitten by his original owner, he doesn't really understand what it means to be touched. I have been able to touch his feet and all he does is just move it out of the way. I do let him see me hold and pet Amber and Boris, thinking this may help him to understand. If we never get to pet him, that's ok though. I am just very pleased that we have him and are able to give him a wonderful, comfortable home, with the proper food to eat. By the way he looks at us and interacts with us, I can tell he is happy

Yes and his eyes are changing color as well. His eyes used to be brown, but they are now turning a nice shade of gold.

Mum just emailed me back saying how beautiful they are, and she can't believe that they let you hug them like that.

I dont know much about the laws in America about cat ownership. Were your babies orphans or injured or did you just decide you loved them so much you'd bring them up as your own?

The laws vary from state to state. In order for me to be able to keep them, I do require a permit/license from my state. None of these cats were taken from or out of the wild. They all came from breeders and for the most part, it is illegal to take these cats from the wild, to keep them as pets. That is why they came from breeders. Yes, they can and do bond with their humans very strongly, but it takes a great deal of time and work to care for them and you must always be responsible. I can not tell you how fortunate I feel, to be able to share my life with these cats. For me, it is a dream come true and I treasure every minute of my time with them. That is why I enjoy posting these pictures, so that everyone here, can share my experience with these wonderful, beautiful cats

I have a bunch of cat pics from here on my computer as a screen saver slide show. It's fun when coworkers ask about one of your exotics and I can say "Yup, there's this amazing guy and his wife in Ohio who live with these creatures." They are usually awed!
