He is also losing all his baby teeth. I have found 4 so far and he loves to have the sides of his mouth massaged, because it hurts due to all the new teeth coming in.
Our boy carmelo

Yummm, this paw is good

Wow! What a beautiful cat. Every time I see Carmelo I fall in love with him all over again. Great pics of Aurora too

I absolutly love your babies!! I have always LOVED big cats! I had a friend that owned a bobcat she was the sweetest thing...they actually found her mom dead in the woods and she was the only baby they found they hand raised her because she was only maybe a week or so old when they found her. I have always wanted to own a big cat but I just don't have the room!

I am not sure I haven't talked to her or seen her in about 7yrs..I am not sure how long they live...but she found her in 1996...I would assume that if they have a long life span she is still alive.

They can live 20-25 years in captivity, so she may still have it

It's been a while, so I decided to post a few more pictures.
I have been on vacation and built Nakoma a new platform for him to lounge on. As you can see, he is enjoying his new addition

Yes, I can bask in the sun up here

Hang my feet off the side

Or just stretch out just like this

Amber and Boris looking very sleepy.

Amber says hey, do you remember when I was this little and oh so very cute

Carmelo outside

Carmelo sleeping while suckling on his toy. Yes, he still thinks he is a little baby at times

What else can I say, is he spoiled or what?

This is the first time I've run across this thread, and all I can say, John, is I am totally jealous of the kitty love you get!

I've surrounded myself with big cat paraphernalia all my life, and have always pined after the thought of having a big cat to cuddle with - you are living my dream!

Bless you for sharing your heart and home with these very special furbabies!!!

I just wanted to say your babies are beautiful. I love exotics although I could never have one. I have plenty of space 400 acres but not enough time or money. Although I do like to look at them. I love tigers and black panthers hense me liking bombay cats so much. But would never have one just because I couldn't handle one. But all I can say on yours is wow.

Yes, Nakoma loves it on the platform. It is up high and he has a good view in 3 directions. The other platforms are closer to the house, good in the winter because there is shelter from the wind, but this one is more out in the open and higher. As for the baby picture, maybe I should post more. I had this thread a while ago, but it was lost during the crash, so I started over. And poor Carmelo with his "pink" blankie. When we got him, we were told he was a SHE, so that is why he got the pink one. The breeder made a mistake and we got a male instead of a female. So, not only did he have a girls name for his first few weeks, he still has his girly pink blankie

They behave pretty much like a normal domestic cat, but on a much larger scale. So, when you see your cat doing some of the silly things they do or when they get running around like crazy, imagine the same thing at 80+ pounds for Carmelo. However, he still has a while to grow yet. The bobcats are not quite as large. They range from 28 pounds for Amber, approx 35 pounds for Boris and Nakoma about 50. Also, none of these cats were taken from the wild. They are all born and raised in captivity and came from a breeder

I have always been they same way, ever since I was a child. Everytime we would go to the zoo, I always wanted to see the big cats. What further put me on this path of exotic cat ownership, was when I was a boy of about 8-10 years old. One day, our family was in the car going down the interstate. As we past this one car, I looked and there it was. A cougar sitting in the back seat looking back at me. He just gave me such a calm look as if to say, you will understand one day
As for the cuddle part, I have said this before, but I wish I could let everyone one here come over and give these guys a big hug. Well, Amber may not let you, she has an attitude, that's just the way female bobcats are. But Boris and especially Carmelo, they would let you hug them all you wanted to. And carmelo, he will hug you back and purrr you to sleep

400 acres, I would love to have that. If you lived closer, I would offer to buy some of that from you

well my dad might argue with that and my horse although your kitties can't get them might be a bit stressed by them and that might not be a good thing. And trust me you don't want my neighbors they are the same people who poisoned a cat my dad had when I was in high school.
