No, she didn't kiss it darn her
She had more fun injecting the medication into it

I took a picture of my hand today and was going to post it, but I didn't think I should

I don't know. With trixie23 and her ear pics it couldn't be too bad.

Aw see Bejah just wanted to give you a body piercing. You could take her on the road to malls and let her give out free body piercings! lol
Then Carol would have pleny of people to squirt with her syringe.

At least it went all the way through so you could thoroughly clean it.

You can post a link to it rather than putting it directly in the thread. Then people who are nosy and want to see it can click through and those who don't can really easily avoid the mangled hand.

Anyway I'm sorry to hear you got bit but it sounds like just one of those accidents that can happen. No malice anywhere. It really bugs me when people can't see accidents for what they are and start shouting about animals being vicious or mean when that's not the case.

My Nikita scratched me very badly once but it was from bad timing and worse luck not from her being aggressive. Although I've now got some cat related permament body modification on my arm and calf
Nothing as impressive as I'm sure yours is though. A cougar lashing out in irritation is capable of doing a lot more damage than a freaked out housecat for obvious reasons.

I love seeing your photos and hearing your stories. I know I've said it before but it's so much fun reading through your thread.

I don't recall seeing those pictures

Yeah, we can call it, Piercings by Bejah

Well, it wasn't mangled, just 2 nice holes

Exactly, that is why I really didn't even want to mention it, but these things can and do happen when caring for any animal. But, the animal rights extremists like to use incidents like this, twist it around and say see, this is why we must ban this type of animal ownership. But in reality, we give these cats the very best care. I was doing what needed to be done. Put medication on Bejah's ears, so the flies would stop biting her ears and making them bleed. If I didn't at least try to do this, I would have not been looking after this cougar's welfare. As all of us know, cats are very good at hiding pain, both our domestics and these large cats. I could not really tell if her ears were hurting her or not. But, after her reaction when I touched the bitten areas, I knew they were bothering her. I feel bad, that she may think I intentionally caused her pain. All I can say is, I really hate them flies. This is all their fault

I'm happy that you enjoy it, thank you

counting down until graduation!!
Do you think you could spray some hydrocortisone spray on her ears? It is what I use for my dog when he gets bugbites/hotspots whatever.... he still licks and chews though. It is supposed to make them stop itching and burning though. Probably won't keep the bugs away though. Just a thought! Mine is made by Hartz and is for animals. FYI

That could help if her ears itch from the bites. We are hoping to find a spray however, that works as good as the ointment that we were using. I am going to give the ointment another try today. But, I am going to make a long swab of some sort. Once I get that on her, it will stop the flies and give her ears a chance to heal. We did get some thunderstorms too, so the rain may help stop some of the biting.

Close up of that sweet Boris face

And now, what you have been waiting for. Can we have a drum roll please. Ladies and gentlemen, we are proud to introduce to you. Rowdy, the Bengal tiger

Yes, he is 7 years old and weighs approx 350-380 pounds. Bengals are not the largest of the tigers

In Steelers Country!
Amber pictures.
Boris is adorable also.

Rowdy is beautiful.
In the picture where he's licking his paw the markings on his head are amazing.
He looks so comfy sitting in his pool!
